Justin Hunter WW fodder?

Postby slaughterrt » Thu Feb 19, 2015 10:10 pm

Hunter is a FA in my 10 teamer. I'm a little surprised that someone gave up already. I think if Tennessee can grab a healthy decent QB, then Hunter's stock should rise.

Unless you have really short benches, Hunter should be rostered.

I agree. If he does not show substantial improvement this season, then it is likely time to move on.

Yea, you have to give the guy at least 3 years to see if he can put it together.

Hunter's entering his age 24 season, possesses a nice Size/Speed combo and is locked into a starting job for 2015. There's no reason he should be on the Waiver Wire in a Dynasty League

I agree he should be owned but I can easily see multiple teams having no players they'd drop for him depending on bench depth.

In a 10 man league I'm not shocked he's available, especially if the benches aren't deep, but I'd try to grab him if you have other fodder to drop.

I dropped him this year. Short benches. And size/speed is only half the battle...I just don't think he's got the non-measurable skills to be an impact NFL WR (work ethic, subtle getting open skills, route running, etc).

But I am amused that there are numerous threads that say that Justin Hunter only needs a QB to be a stud, and also multiple threads that say Mettenberger only needs some weapons to be a stud.

My opinion - neither is going to be worth much...they are both fool's gold.

Tells me you're either one heck of a negotiator or you have at least one sucker in your league.

10 x 20 I can see Hunter being on the waiver wire. He'd be on my speed-dial at WR in that scenario, but I could see him being available due to the minuscule production-to-potential we've seen thus far. That, and missing the last 4 games with a lacerated spleen. I'm guessing he got dumped by a contender setting up their roster for a playoff run.

He's at the end of my bench too. Just SLIGHTLY ahead of Justin Blackmon, so I'm not giving him a ringing endorsement though I'm still hopeful. 2015 has to show improvement or I'm out.

I think he has enough promise to be on a bench in most leagues. I would probably trade someone in the middle-end of my bench at a slight loss to pick him up

The guy who took him isn't a sucker by any stretch but he was looking for a receiver and still believes in Hunter so he gave me a 1st for him turned out to be 1.07).
