2 Calvin Offers...what to do?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

2 Calvin Offers...what to do?

Postby Mjmart2 » Sat Jan 25, 2014 9:41 am

So I have been offered the following 2 trades...I love Calvin but everyone has a price. I like both but am a little weary of Gordon off the field risk and not sure I am getting enough with the other offer. Thoughts VERY much appreciated!

Offer 1 - Gordon and Keenan Allen for Calvin

Offer 2 - Jimmy Graham, TY Hilton and Kendall Wright for Calvin

Thank you in advance for your help!

I love Calvin but man those are good offers. The 2nd one is less risky IMO, but the upside in the 1st deal is great too. If it were my team I think I would take the 2nd deal

Are they both from the same owner? If so switch out Hilton for Allen and I'd take the second.

If you have faith in Reed like I do, I love the first offer. Both are great though

I like them both but getting Jimmy Graham to lock up your TE position for the next 5-6 years is golden. Honestly, I would almost trade Calvin straight up for Graham because he has that much of a positional advantage. Wright should be a solid PPR WR2 for years and Hilton has high, but unpredicatable, upside. #1 is tempting but #2 is a take it an run offer.

I really like #1 in terms of replacing the #1 WR with Gordon and Allen. That gives you a dynamite DT/Gordon/Allen as 3WR starters. Alot better than DT/Wright/Hilton
Very tough to not take the Jimmy offer but you I think you have better pt potential with the first deal. I think Allen > Wright so big difference with Allen as WR3 and Wright as WR2 in those deals.
I think the Jimmy deal is better value overall because Jimmy is more or less equal to Calvin but the other deal gives you a solid top 3 WR group and being able to start up to 4 makes it the deal I might make in the end.

I guess it depends what you think you can sell Reed and/or Eifert for. If you think you can sell off a TE for good value I would do the Jimmy deal. If not I would lock up my WR 3some for the next 5 years with the first deal
