Just looking to see what the "commoners" as opposed to the "experts" think of Javonte Williams.

What do you guys think he will do?

What would be his value if trading for a pick or two?

Just overall thoughts.

Love him vs what I’ve seen as his ranked value that I’ve seen but haven’t found that people are actually selling for that. Depends on what you can get him for.

I'm a Javonte manager in multiple spots, and probably wouldn't sell unless I'm getting a mid/late 1st (1.09 range), and since I know that's unlikely, he's a hold for me. I could maybe be convinced to take a pair of 2nds as Ross mentioned, depending on where they fall

I like his skill set. Didn't expect much from 2023 considering the injury. I'd hate to hold him and then undersell before what is hopefully a big year.

I'm hoping for a rebound from injury year. Last November, I got him for Miles Sanders and a second, which turned out to be 2.07.

Nice, that Miles Sanders cliff was steep.

Around that same time, I gave up two 1sts and a 3rd for Javonte+Pitts+Hollywood.
Picks turned out to be 1.09/1.12, pretty happy with that outcome at the moment.

I think the buy window is still open on Javonte. Buying RBs ahead of the draft is risky, but this RB class + the many needs of DEN should diminish that risk a bit

Receive: Javonte, 25 2nd

I felt like it was a slight overpay, but I needed an RB and figured he was as good a bet as any prospect I’d be looking at at 2.03.

A pair of seconds or a late 1st would get me intrigued enough to sell.

He seems to be forgotten after he returned quickly from a major injury. I believe it was the same extent as Dobbins, compared to a “clean” ACL tear like Breece’s.

I acquired him in a package and I’m optimistic he can do better than last year, though Payton’s history to spread carries around to RBs does have me worried.

I have him on team 1 in my sig. A few weeks ago I posted a question about him in the main Javonte thread.

Basically, in that 1qb keeper league, if I release Javonte I will get the equivalent of a late 1st in the draft (rookie+FA). At one point, I thought that pick might land me the 4th-6th rookie. Now, I'm guessing that releasing Javonte will land me the 7th-9th rookie.

In a 1qb draft with no TEP, I have to compare the merits of Javonte versus the 6th rookie WR or 3rd rookie RB. Considering my depth at WR, I don't have interest in that caliber of rookie WR. Bowers is a non-starter for me in this league with a "1st round" pick.

In my situation, I have to decide do I value Javonte more/less than a late 2024 1st. For my roster, I have decided, at this moment, I value Javonte > late 1st. For a contender, I'm definitely holding JW over a 2nd. For a rebuilder I'm probably holding over a 2nd for now, but would sell for a 2nd early in the season if that was the best offer I could get.

Best case scenario: Being two years removed from surgery, JW is fully healthy and impresses the coaches. JW goes into week 1 as the undisputed lead RB and is given 20+ touches per game. JW averages 100+total yards per game and scores 14 TDs on the season.

Worst case scenario: The coaching staff becomes enamored with the smurfRB McLaughlin and puts him on the field for an overabundance of plays. This cuts into JW's opportunity. JW averages 50total yards per game and scores 4 TDs on the season.

For now, I'm leaning (maybe more like hoping) Denver uses JW as envisioned in my best case scenario. I don't think that's unreasonable, but from outside the coaches' room looking in, I don't really know what they're thinking/planning.

SF - late first IMO. My bet is once players land in the draft, we will have eight or nine guys I'd for sure want over him. Putting him in the mix around the 1.10 or so. I wouldn't be surprised if the RB1 from this class (whoever that turns out to be) will be equally or more valuable than Javonte in a month. Someone is going to get the capital and landing spot to get us fired up.
