Any deal where you get the best two assets by far is a long-shot. I'd auto-reject that and not counter. You're short by at least 1 early 1st and even then I highly doubt I'd split two studs in one deal.

Ok so it sounds like I’m way off! I broke it down as

LaPorta (TE1) & Pickens for JJ
Purdy, 1.12 & 2025 1st (which will likely be the 1.01 as it’s going back to the guy I am trading with who’s team is bad) for Stroud.

I don't think it's a terrible offer in a TEP leabue, but I don't think it is likely to be accepted. Mostly, it's the 1.12 (being so late) and the '25 1st (being unknown but likely late because I'm not going with the idea this is the 1.01) holding this offer back from being truly competitive.

It's worth making the offer.

This is really, really bad. I love Laporta, but you are asking for the rookie of the year at QB in a super flex and the #1 asset in dynasty. Terrible.

As the trade partner, I would expect Tank, not Pickens. And I'd want all 3 2025 1sts. And I still don't think I'd do it.

But it depends on the other team's build as well. But I can't see them taking the deal as is. -oo-

Stroud and JJ are both top-10 assets in SF. Maybe even a little higher than that. They are both in that rare echelon of being equally desirable on both rebuilding and contending teams (those are the elite of elite assets). Assuming the other manager is at all in the game, you need to come much stronger than this.

I think I'm more or less w/ Mieney: would want Dell over Pickens and two more 2025 1sts. There are probably folks out there who have Pickens over Dell, so that part is just personal preference.

No, that's not getting it done. If you want Stroud or JJ you have to make an overpay type of offer. If you want both, you better give up so many draft picks it makes you feel sick. You'll prob need to add two more firsts to get the conversation started...even then, if the other owner is a contender, I doubt it works.

I think that you are not valuing JJ correctly, TE1 plus an average at best WR does not equate the best fantasy asset outside of QBs. Maybe if this was a TE premium league, and even then I think that's a very light deal. The stroud deal isn't horrible, but another 1st would at least make me think about countering. But with Stroud age and recent performances, plus being in a SF league, a guy like that goes for a QB + 3 firsts at least. Also, if you are serious about going after these guys you should do two different deals. No one will want to give up two top-10 elite assets in one deal unless you are selling the farm

I would pass on that without much thought. Better off aiming to acquire 1 of those pieces, and expect that you’re gonna have to pay more than you think is ‘fair’. Such is the price when attempting to acquire elite assets, while giving up non-elite pieces. No offense to Laporta in that (as TE1), but the gap from him to the others is still notable, even with TEP.
