What is Jameson Williams worth in terms of a pick this offseason

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

I’m in no rush to sell, but wondering where the value should be seeked from him to the point where it’s worthwhile to pull the trigger

I think he'll be a tricky player to trade away or trade for. Personally, I wouldn't give up more than a 3rd for him, but I assume his holders will want a 2nd. A 1st is totally out of the question.
TEAM 1:

Yeppers. 2nd would be the asking price. The issue is he is like 4th option on DET. I would never pay a high price for something so buried

Good takes here. He may be a 4th / 5th option, but he's still a somewhat exciting player. I'd probably be an interested buyer around a 2nd ish.

FWIW, earlier this year someone in my league traded away Gabe Davis and got back Jameson AND a 2nd. I thought that was a great deal to get Jameson. As BigBawesRoss pointed out, see if there is a player you can swap that you are excited for like a Mims.

That aged well!

Williams is worth a 2nd still on the hope, potential, and him getting more involved as the season moved along. Outside of an overpay of sorts, I would rather hold if I had him but would take a shot for a mid to late 2nd if trying to acquire.

Sold him and Q. Johnston midseason for J. Addison.

This is definitely one of those situations where most owners won’t sell for what the buyer would pay and most buyers won’t pay what the seller wants. If you’ve held Jameson up until this point then you’re more likely to just take the shot on his upside rather than a random 3rd. He’s had a very rough start and had definitely hurt his “elite upside” but he’s still a very talented player that was heavily invested into via draft capital. The new Lions regime is very “do the work to earn your keep” and doesn’t just hand you the keys because you’re talented and drafted high. He seems to finally be doing the right things and really putting the work in. I watch a lot of Lions games and I keep hearing remarks about how far his route running and involvement have been coming along. Things change very quickly via injury etc. that can catapult someone from the 4th option to the 2nd or even better. I’d absolutely send away a 2nd to take a shot on a guy like this and as an owner I think I’d actually rather hold into next season than take a mid to late 2nd for him. I am in a 14 teamer so those later 2nds are a bit tougher for us but still. I like where his trajectory is right now. He’s still only 22 and you could argue he’s only really going into his 2nd season from a development standpoint.

Sure. I don’t entirely disagree but I’ve seen flashes that I’m comfortable investing into. Davante Adams sucked his first 2 seasons with less obstacles holding him back. I want to be clear that I am NOT saying that I think Jameson Williams will be the next Davante Adams but more so saying that a slow start does not mean a player is dead. Imagine having paid a single 2nd for Adams after his 2nd season? Then imagine selling Adams for a single 2nd after his 2nd season. I guess it just comes down to your risk tolerance.

IMO, Jameson value is right around 2.05/2.06 area in a 12 team SF league rookie draft.
