Hi All,
Is there any leagues out there where RB's sell for less than general consensus.
I am in a league where getting top dollar for RB's is not happening and hasn't for 3 years running:
10 team team S/F and I want to highlight the trades that have taken place for RB's and picks since we started in 2019.
I excluded the lower end ones and ones that were RB for RB. 2021 just feels like everyone is jumping ship on RBs.
Bolded the ones I think went for less than consensus
2020:
Buy Dionte Johnson and Jonathan Tayor for Lawrence and Fuller
Buy Henry for A Cooper
Buy Chris Carson for 2022 1st
2021:
Buy AJ Dillon and a 5th for 2023 2nd and 2023 4th
Buy Ekeler for Zach Wilson
Buy Cook and Mattison for 2022 2nd and 2023 1st and 2nd
Buy Chubb for 2023 1st and 3rd and 2024 1st ad 3rd
Buy Barkley for Pitts and Golladay 2023 3rd

Re: League RB pricing different league to league
RBs in both of my leagues are gold, even not great ones so I have not run into this issue in either of my leagues.
Re: League RB pricing different league to league
It is really odd. I guess in a 10 team league maybe the bar isn't quite as high?Gator Sens wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 9:44 am RBs in both of my leagues are gold, even not great ones so I have not run into this issue in either of my leagues.
For example I have Jrob and Dillon and if I had the rest of the pieces (WR/TE/QB) I wouldn't be unhappy right now.
The guy who owns Barkley, Mixon, Elliot and Mcaff looks less likely to win than the the other team in our division. It means the flipside is you can buy RBs cheap when you need them but selling them at a top dollar premium doesn't happen.
Re: League RB pricing different league to league
I think overall rb's have a greater value for a few reasons. If you have a stud rb who is a workhorse they are gold and nobody wants to part ways with them. They have a shorter shelf life and everyone wants them at their peak years. And simply there are fewer of them, most teams have 1 rb you can start weekly in fantasy where several teams have 2 wr's you are able to start in fantasy. So it causes a overpay to land one of them. Once and awhile they simply get sold cheaper, but generally they command a overpay.

The cook and Mattison trade was ridiculous today. I generally couldn't believe my eyes. 1st and 2x 2nds.
I get selling Cook in case his domestic abuse claim has any traction, but to throw Mattison in as well.....

That is really interesting and shows how different all leagues can be. The Cook trade is pretty wild...papageo8 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 9:50 amIt is really odd. Re: League RB pricing different league to league
Yes, in my league .5 PPR for RB and 1 PPR for WRs.
Teams are more likely to try to max 5 WRs in their line ups and get by with Leonard Fournette and Darrell Henderson than pay up for an elite RB.
A full roster is more important than stud RBs in my league it seems.
You'd think in a 16 team league RBs would be scarce, but the champ won last year with Montgomery, Moss and Damien Harris as his RBs... having Josh Allen, Brady, Tyreek, Amari Cooper, Diontae J. helped
