Najee gonna be a stud if he avoids injury. Unfortunately he plays like a guy that's gonna pile up some injuries.

Harris? I saw nothing special at all from his HOF game performance. Didn't see him tonight, 2 for 10 I am seeing.

Watkins long TD. Cheaped out on my bid last night, missed out on him. Bid 2 on 1000. LOL. Eagles fan in the league got him. Have him in 1 league, but he looks like a deep threat field stretcher type, anyone else see something more?

Gainwell looking good.

Just watched his touches. First run, well blocked, got what was there. 2nd run, nice play, created a few yards on his own. 3rd run, huge hole, called back on a hold. You are right about his style. The other concern was that target where Rudolph threw a hospital ball to him with a late read. Najee is a short window back. 23 to start his career, his value will decline within his rookie deal due to his advanced age. Any major injury this season would severely affect his value du to that. This may be his peak value. A really good rookie year it will go up, and next off season would probably be peak value for him if that's the case.

Given the projected volume as a bellcow (and getting the receptions) I think he'll have strong value, especially the first two to three years. Only concerns are injury (can't predict) and QB play. If Big Ben wears his arm out again, that's a concern but not as worried about a successor. The rest of the roster is strong enough they should be able to entice a vet looking for a ring, even if that ends up being a Teddy B or Jimmy G type.

Jaret Paterson looked fantastic on that run where an unblocked defender had him in his sights and in a split second he stepped him and put the burners on for a 1st down.

My taxi squads are richer with him sitting on them.

Doesn't a major injury affect every RB's value due to their short shelf life already (see Cam Akers). Not sure why Najee being 23 makes that much of a difference when most dynasty owners try and move on from RBs after 3 or 4 years anyway. I don't understand why this would be unique to Najee.

I feel like people are just knocking Najee because he isn't a sexy prospect. He isnt a freak like Pitts, not as exciting as Chase, not a generational prospect like TLaw. Other than hurdling guys (which i wish he wouldn't but I digress) he isnt flashy at all. Just grinds out yards. Yet for fantasy, he checks the most important box for fantasy RBs: 3 down volume. Its probably going to be ugly, but its going to score in fantasy, which is really all we care about.

IMO, Patterson (two T's) looked fantastic on all touches.

-- The QB made two incorrect choices on two option plays, and Patterson bailed him out both times.
-- His ran what plays were designed to do when a pocket was there
-- He smartly deviated from a few plays when they broke down
-- He showed his running versatility: he ran power, he ran inside, he ran zone, he ran outside
-- His routes were quick and precise
-- He caught everything thrown his way
-- Made quick decisions with no wasted time
-- Held the ball up when making contact with defenders
-- Took contact on the strongest part of his body
-- He gave up on plays when nothing more was there
-- Had great burst through the line when a hole was found

... I could go on and on. This little dude can play. He doesn't have the top end talent that other backs have, but he has nice athleticism and does what is coached and does it very well. He won't be a bell cow and he won't beat out Gibson, but he will eat into Gibson's workload with a display like this.

If Gibson ever were to get hurt, Patterson has enough skills and talent to shoulder the load until he comes back. The Football Team drafted a good one.

We'll see how he looks when he's running vs actual NFL starters. Guy is an undersized, bottom tier athlete. Nothing more than a smaller, less athletic Singletary IMO.

It's a good front office. They'll flip that OL and sign a competent replacement for Big Ben. I'm not looking to trade Najee at peak value. I'm planning to ride him 4-5 years to hopefully a championship or two.

I get it. Anybody who takes a 23 year old rookie RB with a high first should probably thinking this way. I think Harris is a solid player, nothing special, but he should get volume, which is king. With the first round capital, usually that is a given, for anyone not named Penny. :wall:

Somewhat pedestrian week 1. Not a lot to love, but some:

-- Marquez Callaway is the top dog from this group. He looks to be the main guy when Thomas is out, and maybe more. This isn't new information, but it was definitely solidified last night. I just made a move to pick him up in all leagues I could.
-- Rondale Jones may have been the best-looking offensive rookie to watch. Quick feet and no wasted moves.
-- Kylin Hill showed his talent on that TD catch and run. It's too bad he was drafted so late and in Green Bay.
-- Chris Evans looks to be the #2 in Cincinnati. Mixon owners should cover their butts and get him.
-- Zero rookie QBs looked terrible or amazing... I'm trying not to sound biased. Lance <3
-- Xavier Jones got first crack at RB behind DH for the Rams, but Funk wasn't far behind.
-- Let's keep an eye on Keelan Doss or DJ Turner for the Raiders. If they play in the first quarter next week, that means they moved up the depth chart. Jon Gruden will play an undrafted or unknown vet over a first rounder if they earn it. Few coaches do that.

This is pretty much all I saw. Feel free to add.
