Flynn vs Tebow

Postby MARKinMI » Thu Sep 01, 2011 12:17 am

Who's the better long term QB stash and why?

I'm leaning towards Flynn and i recently dropped Tebow to Draft Flynn. This question is for overall dynasty purposes and not my team or situation. I have my reasons for preferring Flynn but im just curious as to how you guys see their upside and fantasy value going forward.

Flynn. His value is going up and Tebow's value is going down judging by how the league is seeing these two QB's. Flynn seems like he could be the next great back up QB to trade for (ala matt Schaub), while it seems that Tebow isn't even in the plans of the Broncos anymore...if you believe all that is being written about him maybe being the 4th QB on the Bronco roster.

Flynn would be my pick but I haven't given up on Tebow yet...could you see him in a dolphin uniform? Flynn will be the next Kolb ...hopefully he goes to a good situation!

Flynn. His skill set translates to the NFL way WAY better than Tebow's does. If he lands in a decent situation, I think good things will happen.

Tebow and its not even close. I'll take a QB who's already proven his ability to put up elite fantasy numbers over a noodle armed QB who is stuck behind Aaron Rodgers

Flynn. Why? Well, because he's not Tim Tebow. Playing in the Packer's system behind Aaron Rodgers helps a little, too. :)

I'd say the debate over the two is a push. No one has seen enough of either to this point. I think most will choose Flynn because of what Allen just said - he's not Tim Tebow.

Flynn tears it up in practice, and he did a great job against New England in his one start. If he were drafted higher in the draft with Kolb, he would of gotten the Kolb treatment. He will be a starter somewhere next year.

I will say Flynn, although Tebow is still very intriguing to me. Just think if he ends up with TE eligibility for fantasy purposes. I would love to have my TE have certain plays designed for him where he is lined up under center with his ability to run or pass. He could really become an unfair advantage in fantasy. Terrelle Pryor could become that type of player also.
