New League Rules, Thoughts?

Postby Schroedess26 » Sun Jan 23, 2011 11:34 am

I am starting up a new league and since I have never run a Dynasty League before thought I would run the rules by you and see the love hate about them.

Any suggestions I am open ears, just looking to get a competitive fun league going this offseason.

I. League Structure
1) The league shall consist of 12 teams
2) Team renewals will be due by the NFL Rookie Draft Day
3) Upon a league member leaving the team will remain open until a suitable replacement can be found, which is decided upon by the league commissioner
4) League team names must be of a nature that a NFL or NCAA team would carry it

II. Regular Season Play
1) The regular season will consist of 13 games (16+bye NFL), 15 games (18+bye NFL), or 16 (18+2 byes NFL)

1) During the season, unrestricted free agents can be claimed by MFLs rules
2) Restricted Free Agents, will be on waivers until the following week
3) Trades can be made at any time between the completion of the Championship and the annual trading deadline last week before playoffs. There will be no trades allowed after the last regular season games.
4) All trades will go through immediately but are subject to a 4 day review where a vote can be called upon where a 75% vote will overturn the trade (this should only be used in cases of collusion and not in instances of injury or ignorance) secondary lineups should be submitted incase of review otherwise prior weeks line will be used upon a overturn of trades
