Jamaal Williams vs Aaron Jones
Aaron Jones looks better to me. He looks like a young Eddie Lacy out there.
Jamaal Williams kinda looks like "just a guy".
Can Aaron Jones overtake Jamaal Williams on the depth chart? If so, when?

Re: Jamaal Williams vs Aaron Jones
Williams has looked like a JAG at times this camp. Jones hasn't flashed until this last preseason game. I don't think Jones would overtake Williams role but could carve out a role of his own taking touches away from Montgomery. Williams will still get his 8-15 carries a game as the grinder in the offense. Jones is NOT Lacy, Lacy was more powerful while Jones has a little more wiggle and breakaway speed. I don't think Jones could ever be a 20 touch a game back like Lacy was for 2 years but he can definitely be a successful pro.

Re: Jamaal Williams vs Aaron Jones
I think Aaron Jones outplayed Jamaal Williams big time in preseason weeks 3 and 4. Hoping the Packers move Jones up to #2 on the depth chart. I own Aaron Jones in 2 dynasties and JaWilliams in 1. With roster cuts coming up and my roster looking tight I really don't want to have to cut Aaron Jones.
Re: Jamaal Williams vs Aaron Jones
He certainly has a good chance to overtake Williams, just not sure how quickly he does it.
Re: Jamaal Williams vs Aaron Jones
We should throw Mays into this as well since he made the roster. I'm trying to picture their depth chart next year assuming they don't draft anyone. (highly unlikely, I know).
I thought Mays was a great pick by them and should he stay healthy, he could pass the other 2 rookies.
Thoughts?

Re: Jamaal Williams vs Aaron Jones
Not sure if he'll ever pass the other RBs, but I could see him carve out a role as a bruising RB. At 5'10 / 230 he's currently the "biggest" runner on the roster, and his running style matches his build. The Packers could easily have tried to sneak him onto the PS, but instead kept him over another, higher drafted rookie. Wouldn't be surprised if he sees at least some goal line carries already this year.Gtdano_14 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2017 10:19 am We should throw Mays into this as well since he made the roster. I don't know, once I saw Pumphrey came in third I lost interest. No analytics model should yield that result.Cojo 2020 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2017 1:11 pm Found this interesting: https://www.google.com/amp/s/wfusportsa ... tball/amp/

As an Aaron Jones owner the first 7 words of this headline scared the $hit out of me:

X2. Kamara and Hunt low, etc. Kind of cherry picking. I like Jones though, he looks like he's shot out of a cannon when he gets a crease, but I think it's RBBC, and it should be. Still could put up decent numbers with a full year of Rodgers, but he does have a possible suspension coming from a marijuana charge in which he was speeding, smoking weed and lost his license over it. So there is that issue.Go Bucks wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2017 3:55 pmI don't know, once I saw Pumphrey came in third I lost interest. I like Jones more than Williams but I think a lot of people are discounting Montgomery, I think he role is more secure than both of them. He'll handle the bulk of Receptions and probably get 10ish carries a game. He was doing extremely well before he got hurt. I think the packers will try to make it a committee with Montgomery being the more prominent back.

Re: Jamaal Williams vs Aaron Jones
I doubt it. They didn't draft three RBs because they were happy with Montgomery. He's a scat back, who obviously can't handle all those touches. JWill or AJones will win out the most prominent role.Titans95 wrote: ↑Thu May 31, 2018 5:36 am I like Jones more than Williams but I think a lot of people are discounting Montgomery, I think he role is more secure than both of them. Re: Jamaal Williams vs Aaron Jones
They drafted 3 runningbacks because they literally had no backups....do you really think they aren't happy with Adams and Cobb at WR...? Not saying Montgomery will be a workhorse but he has just as good of a chance as either one of them to earn touches and was better than both of them when he wasn't hurt.0LDMAN wrote: ↑Sun Jun 10, 2018 8:27 pmI doubt it.
