Young QB or 18 1st?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Which would you rather have? (24 team)

18 1st (likely 1.18-1.24)

Young QB or 18 1st?

Postby SteelCitizen » Wed Jul 19, 2017 2:19 am

I'm looking to gain a solid back-up who can later replace my aging QB. A couple QBs that appear to be available are Kirk Cousins and Carson Wentz. I would be offering an 18 1st (prob in the 1.18-1.24 range), but likely need to give a little more to get one of them. Unless next year's rookie class is as loaded as this one, I expect the top 2 or 3 QBs to be off the board by the time my pick rolls around.

So keep the pick, or get a QB?

EDIT: correcting my description of the league

I'm a bit confused by the details of this post. Who is your 'aging qb'? Do you own a back up qb? And how many teams in the league? Hard to rate this w/o knowing your team or league settings, which are obviously far from standard.

Update* reading is key, i see there are 24 teams w/qb bonus... is it a double up or are you just screwed on qb bye weeks? and what exactly is the qb bonus?

I'd give a late 1st in a 24 team league for either of those QBs, but would prefer Cousins if you're competing.

1. Brees
2. No back-up
3. 24 teams
4. Only one copy, so bye weeks are rough
5. Actually no bonus, I was thinking if a different league

Cousins easily. 2018 1st seems so cheap for him given the league format
