Help Deciding on Which Receiver to Trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Help Deciding on Which Receiver to Trade

Postby ThatGuyBrian » Tue Jun 20, 2017 9:56 am

I am currently in a quandary because I have a bunch of really good receivers currently on my roster but only have one running back. So I am needing assistance in choosing which receiver(s) would be best to put on the trade block to nab a running or two. Side note I have tried to trade for picks 1.01 to 1.06 and got denied so no Mixon for me.

Receivers:
TY Hilton
Julio Jones
Jarvis Landry
Corey Coleman
Sammy Watkins
Laquon Treadwell
Robby Anderson
Devin Funchess
Tyrell Williams
Tajae Sharpe
Kevin White
Tyler Boyd

Current trade offers
Purposed to me:
Coleman for Paul Perkins and 2.07
Landry for 1.10 and 3.01
Watkins for pick 1.09, 2.06, 3.02 and 2 2018 3rd rounders

Purposed by me
Julio Jones for Ajayi, pick 1.06 and 2 2018 1st round picks (I told him I valued Jones highly and that I didn't want to trade him to be upfront about it)
Current Win Now!!:
Chester
10 team PPR (1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 Kicker, 1 Def/St) 27 man roster limit:

RB Jonathan Taylor, Christian McCaffery, Dalvin Cook, Saquon Barkley, Jk Dobbins, Gus Edwards, Eno Benjamin
WR Cooper Kupp, Michael Thomas, Chris Godwin, Juju Smith-Shuster, Brandon Aiyuk, Calvin Ridley (S), Zay Jones, Lavishka Shenault, Terrace Marshall,
TE George Kittle, Darren Waller, Pat Freiermuth
K Justin Tucker
Def/St Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers

Possibly competitive team
QB: DeShaun Watson, Daniel Jones, Cj Stroud
RB: Breece Hall, Travis Etienne, JK Dobbins, JaVonte Williams, Latavius Murray, Gus Edwards, Kenny McIntosh
WR: Calvin Ridley, Jaylen Waddle, Chris Olave, Michael Thomas, Garrett Wilson, Darnell Mooney, Romeo Doubs, Terrace Marshall, Justyn Ross, Kayshoun Boutte, Puka Nacka

Looks like people are trying to take advantage of you...those are some pretty bad offers you've gotten. Your Julio offer might be a bit much as well, so see if there's any kind of compromise. I'd put Sammy on the block and let it be known you're looking for RBs and see what offers you get.

Unfortunately looks like people are low balling you left and right. The 3 proposed deals are pretty bad.

You may be best suited waiting til the season nears and make a move then.

Maybe get some positive news out of camp about K.White and flip him then.

I am not opposed to just saying "f" it and going with only two running backs on roster, maybe something pops up on the waiver wire.

It really depends on the return. I'm guessing like the poster above suggested, Watkins is your best bet. He's a very polarizing player but there should be at least a few owners that still believe in him. I'd suggest coming up with a few different offers centered around different WRs though so you can balance the value your giving away with the return your receiving
QB: D. Watson, T. Taylor, J. Driskel, J. Johnson, C. Rush, N. Sudfeld, M. White
RB: C. McCaffrey, C. Carson, K. Johnson, R. Penny, J. Samuels, D. Pumphrey
WR: J.J. Smith-Schuster, R. Woods, L. Fitzgerald, J. Nelson, M. Gallup R. Switzer, B. Berrios, C. Batson, R. Higgins, J. Kearse
TE: G. Kittle, I. Thomas, J Doyle, W. Dissly, J. Leggett, J. Gresham, T. Conklin
16 Team Dynasty (PPR). Lineup: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, TE, FLEX, SFLEX
2018 Champs

QB: M. Stafford, J. Garoppolo
RB: I. Crowell, J. Williams, A. Abdullah, C.J. Anderson
WR: C. Godwin, D.J. Moore, W. Fuller, M. Valdez-Scantling, D.J. Chark, E. St. Brown, J. Kumerow, R. Higgins, C. Meredith, J. Kearse
TE: D. Njoku, H. Henry, C. Herndon, G. Everett, I. Thomas, J. Leggett, W. Dissly

I might consider ajai and the 1.06 and 1 mid 2018 first but without at least 2 firsts the value isn't there

Ajayi, 1.06, and 1 2018 1st (instead of 2) should be fair for Julio.

The offers proposed to you are awful. The one you proposed is interesting but I wouldn't do it in your position. I'd put all WRs other than Julio and T.Y. on the block and see what comes back. First though, I would try to trade the back end depth at WR for someone like Gore or Lynch...you're a contender with a decent RB2.

Easy decline for for Julio. The 1.06 and a future 1st does not cover the large gap between Julio and Ajayi. I need one of the top 5 rookies this year as well as a future first that should be somewhere between 1-6. The OP's original offer of Ajayi, 1.06, and (2) '18 1sts is a more accurate cost in a 10 team league.

None of the 4 offers does anything for me, especially the 3 offered to you. Put guys on the block and if no good offers come, wait until the season starts and rookie fever dies down/producing players get their typical in-season bump.

I can see a Julio owner asking for that, but I doubt many people would pay it. I'd rather give that for OBJ or Evans, or even one of the top 3 RBs, and even then I'd feel like it's an overpay.
