Predicting ADP for 12 TM superflex + TE preminum

Postby Magic derivative » Mon Apr 10, 2017 2:24 pm

Let's say 2 qbs go to QB needs teams (cle, hou, nyj) and 2 qbs go in the top 48 picks of the nfl draft to developmental places (nyg, pit, ari, sd ext...).

Where do people predict the top 3 TEs and top 4 qbs will go in a superflex te premium draft. All three TE in the 1st round? Where do the two qbs that are projected as year one starters go? Does any te/QB have any chance to break the top six picks in this format? Is everyone gone by end of round 2?

There doesn't seem to be a large consensus as to QB value across superflex leagues. And this year's QB class might not even have a year one starter. Look back at your league history to see where Geno Smith and E.J. Manuel went in 2013. Much of what you're asking depends heavily on the individual league settings such as number of bench spots, as rookie TEs don't tend to perform for a number of years and QBs who aren't elite tend to be worth little even in many superflex leagues.

I'm in a league like this. I love this format. Here's how I think I might rank the first round . . . for now (it's gonna really depend on landing spot for the QB's and TE's this year for me). The first six I have the same as most:
1 Fournette
2 Cook
3 Davis
4 Mixon
5 Williams
6 McCaffrey
7 OJ Howard
8 Trubisky
9 D Watson (QB will really depend on where they go and who has a chance to start. I like Cleveland and Houston as the best landing spots)
10 Engram
11 John Ross
12 Foreman

I hope this helps a little bit. I also really like Njoku, but you're gonna have to wait on him for a few years I think.

Until I see what the NFL thinks of the QB's this is a crap shoot. I can't say I like any enough to be 1st round picks to be honest. I expect if a couple go before 20 in the NFL draft there will be owners that bite around 10 but for me I think I am going to save them for my 2nds.

Trubisky is the one guy I might take with a late first if the other guys I like more than QB's are gone

Top QB might have a shot at going 1.06 if McCaffery goes to a bad spot, but I doubt it. All 4 QBs and 3 TEs will definitely be gone by the end of the 2nd.

I originally wanted to take a QB early in the 2nd, but I opted to trade for Russell Wilson with players from my team instead. There's upside with several guys at QB this year, but upside only, no one I would consider to be a lock to make starter/stud status. I've now got Luck and Wilson as my starters and I'll take whichever talent falls to me in the 2nd after QB needy teams take chances on these guys in the first.

On TE's, I could see Howard, Njoku, and Engram all potentially going in the first, but Howard is the only sure 1st at this point with the RB talent and teams that are in desperate need of QB help. NFL draft could change all of this of course.

On a separate note for teams that need a QB soon, I've started looking at the potential 2018 prospects and there is some talent there I think. Hard to speculate this far out, but food for thought.

2018 is a dynamite year at QB imo. I like Rosen/Darnold and Browning easily over this class but then have guys like Faulk and Allen(Josh) would also be contenders for top QB this year. Not a huge Jackson fan but he will get some love too I expect
