I was offered Michael Bush, RB, Oakland Raiders for Hakeem Nicks, WR, New York Giants. My team is below, standard scoring, no PPR, 12 teams. I initially was leaning towards doing the trade, but now I'm considering rejecting it or asking for more. Thoughts?
My team (we start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, K, DST):
QB--Young, Campbell, Brohm, Fitzpatrick
RB--MJD, Pierre Thomas, McFadden, Maroney, Fred Taylor, Sammy Morris
WR--Fitzgerald, Miles Austin, V. Jackson, S. Rice, Nicks, Evans, Royal
TE--Daniels, Cooley
DST--New Orleans, San Diego
Also, here are some of his players:
QB--Schaub, Palmer, Sanchez (obviously, I could use some QB help)
RB--Rice, DeAngelo Williams, Bradshaw, Felix Jones, Michael Bush
WR--Ochocinco, Crabtree, Maclin, DHB
Rookie picks--I have the 1.6, 2.4, 2.7, and 3.7. He has the 1.4, 2.9, and 3.4.

Re: Nicks-Bush Trade Offer
You definately have the WR depth to make this trade but I don't like Bush enough to pull the trigger.
Re: Nicks-Bush Trade Offer
NOOOOOOOoooo! As a guy who owns both on the same team I'd never give up Nicks for MBush. Hell, I can't even drive up a market for Bush whereas I just gave up DJax to get Nicks & Henne. Not close. the other owner would have to throw in a 1st rounder before I'd even start considerinf it. I do want to admit that although I'm not a giants fan I think Nicks will be the best wr to come out of his draft class (yes better than crabtree) and I also think he's on his way to top 10 status at his position with an even higher ceiling. just my opinion, take it for what its worth!

Bush and Palmer/Sanchez for Nicks and a late rd pick sounds like a winner to me.Fletch_F_Fletch wrote:I was offered Michael Bush, RB, Oakland Raiders for Hakeem Nicks, WR, New York Giants. Re: Nicks-Bush Trade Offer
I agree you have the depth but there is no way I would take this deal.. No one has any idea what is going to end up happening in Oakland, and Nicks is on the verge of breaking out in a big way.. I like the depth you have however it is nice to have a safety valve, especially with the whole Favre dilemma effecting Rice and then the very good possibility that V Jax sits out.. In essence you would be trading a starting WR for a bye week fill in RB IMO.

Re: Nicks-Bush Trade Offer
No way! Evans or Royal for Bush would make more sense. Or Nicks for Felix.
Re: Nicks-Bush Trade Offer
I can see why he's offering it. As a Bush owner I value Nicks much more highly.

Until Bush blows up this year and leaves Nicks in his dust!!!MonkeyOne wrote:I can see why he's offering it. As a Bush owner I value Nicks much more highly.
Re: Nicks-Bush Trade Offer
A most def NO to this trade! Nicks has too much upside if he is a good sell high but try to find a different owner and RB to trade for!

No deal...and I agree with this ^^^ as possible counters.keelsatx wrote:No way! Evans or Royal for Bush would make more sense. Or Nicks for Felix.

Re: Nicks-Bush Trade Offer
While you definitely have some depth at WR and could use some at RB, this is not the way I would go about it. I feel like Nicks is just too much more valuable than Bush to make the swap.
Start: 2 QB, 3 RB, 5 WR, 2 TE (All TDs=6, 1 per 10 rush/rec, 1 per 25 pass, NO PPR) 8 teams
QB: Rodgers, Vick, Cutler, Schaub, Luck
RB: Rice, CJ, McFadden, Richardson, Stewart, Ingram, Spiller, Vereen
WR: Green, Marshall, Roddy, Jennings, Roddy, Bowe, Maclin, Britt, A Brown, Williams (TB), Collie, Smith (STL)
TE: Graham, Finley, F Davis, Cook
Taxi Squad: Tebow, Crabtree, Jeffrey, Hill, Gordon
QB: Rodgers, Vick, Cutler, Schaub, Luck
RB: Rice, CJ, McFadden, Richardson, Stewart, Ingram, Spiller, Vereen
WR: Green, Marshall, Roddy, Jennings, Roddy, Bowe, Maclin, Britt, A Brown, Williams (TB), Collie, Smith (STL)
TE: Graham, Finley, F Davis, Cook
Taxi Squad: Tebow, Crabtree, Jeffrey, Hill, Gordon
Re: Nicks-Bush Trade Offer
Yikes!
You could use a good QB, so I would offer:
Nicks/Campbell for Schaub/Bush
Or something similar to that.

Re: Nicks-Bush Trade Offer
There seems a pretty strong sentiment here that Michael Bush is the RB to own in the Oakland backfield. I own him and McFadden on my team because I am not so sure. 50/50 split seems the most likely with neither of them being valuable enough to start at any point - at least in the near future.
Despite not being that high on Nicks, you can't trade him for an unknown commodity. If he matures enough to be a reliable weekly starter for the Giants, he becomes a viable WR3 with WR2 potential for a fantasy team. He's the more secure option and if trading him for Bush there would need to be something coming back on the order of a 2nd rd pick or comparably talented player.
Given your team state, a trade does make sense as Nicks will not move past your WR5 - just not in a 1-for-1 scenario. Acquiring Bush is a good idea with DMC already on your roster.

If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.
