Lets Talk Kenyan Drake in PPR

Postby Dynastychamp111 » Wed Jul 13, 2016 12:30 pm

So this league loves the studs, but i am fond on guys like these as they are cheap and have really high upside. I picked up Lewis last year before he broke out, I like filling my RB2 with these types of players.

Last year i selected J. Ajayi at the 2.6 and this board was not very high on him blah blah blah, it was a reach but i thought he would be the successor of L. Miller. Well now his value is at a first round pick and i was able to package him into getting Ingram.

Point is Drake has alot of appeal in PPR, he can easily be the 3rd down back and the passing back. Yes he is injury prone but most RB's are. I dont have the dolphins winning more than 7 games so there will be alot of games that they are trailing. I dont see him putting up RB1 numbers but 5 catches and 80 total yards is a stat line i could see him filling. He could be a riddick, or a Duke Johnson, or even a C. Thompson who is a sleeper this year.

Thoughts?

I think Drake's path to playing time is going to need to involve injuries at this point. The Dolphins don't seem to trust him yet and that's ok considering he's just a rookie. But yeah you have to like his combo of size, athleticism and pass catching ability. Expectations are low in year one (especially after Foster signing) but I'm hoping for a Charles Sims like role by year two.

Think he's generally going mid-late round 2...although that was before Arian signing so maybe that's gonna change.
