DeSean for Gore?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Postby strim5181 » Wed Apr 14, 2010 2:10 pm

I am thinking of trading DeSean for Gore, you guys think it's a good/fair deal? Should either team ask for a throw in?

Well, since Gore is a sure fire 1st round draft pick in a start up draft and Jackson is a 2nd or 3rd rounder, I'd take the Gore side of that trade.

If its a straight up deal, its not remotely close. Top 10 RB (ranked about 6) for top 20 WR.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

X2

Gore is getting older, still has a long injury history and SF could easily add another RB (maybe even CJ Spiller) in this draft. I don't have a problem with trading Desean, but I'd target someone else, someone younger.

Even if u did think this...you would have to think u could flip gore for something better than Desean Jackson. Dont let the inner critic make you over think this.....i dont like Gore too much myself but sometimes u gotta look past that in order to realize what you are gaining. And if that gain benefits you then take it, and if you dont like the particular assett then trade it. But for now secure the gain...dont get greedy and try and do everything at once (gain, and get something you like). Thats just me though.
