Couple HUGE trades on the table. Need advice!

Postby Crwdstunna » Mon Nov 30, 2015 10:13 pm

Hey guys just wondering what you think about a few deals on the table for me currently. Not sure what to think.

Give: OBJ and 2017 1st(1.6-1.8)
Get: Nuk, Josh Gordon, and 2016 3rd

Or

Give: Martavis Bryant, 2017 1st (1.3-1.5), and 2017 1st (1.5-1.7)
Get: Davante Adams and 2016 1.01

Should I consider either. Counter? Thanks in advance for your time.

yes for Nuke

No No no for the second. Adams in poo so you would be giving depending on how you value Bryant(1st+ 2nd? (2) 1st?) up to 3-4 first for 1.01

I'm going against the grain here, I say yes to both. You get Nuk and Gordon for OBJ and draft picks that aren't proven. The second one to get the 1.1 ( as long as it's guarantee 1.1) I'm taking it. I know you are giving up two firsts, but to get the 1.1 is huge. It allows you to add a top young rb, which you need, or trade the pick which rises in value when rookie fever is in full swing. The only thing I'd want is a added 2 nd rd pick to the deal if you r giving up that much.

i agree yes to both. bryant is great and all but id rather get my hands on the 1.01 tredwell or zeek will be worth quite a randsom once draft time comes around.
i love the nuk one. obj and hopkins are equal enough but the chances of you getting a josh gordon talent at 1.06 is slim

to add on that always counter a trade offer. you have to assume it is not their best and final and they are unlikely to pull the current offer unless they feel offended.

I'm going to go against the grain here. I would say no to the first because I think Beckham is a superior talent to Hopkins and I wouldn't want the Gordon headache. I'd say no to the second because I love Martavis and would rather have two firsts in what -right now at least - looks set to be a stronger class than the 1.01 in 2016. For me the first is very close and the second is a flat no.

For what it's worth I'd also say No and No.

Josh Gordon is no guarantee at all and frankly I think OBJs career will play out better than Nuks over the next 7/8 years.

And for the second one I don't really believe in Davantae Adams managing to turn a hugely underwhelming season around into a good career. Whereas Martavis seems destined for a #1 role somewhere

Thank you for ALL the input. It is appreciated!

For those who don't think the 1st deal is quite there. What would put it over the top? I'm thinking of asking for a 2016 2nd or CJ Anderson to pair with Hillman?

I'm going with no to both.

OBJ is about equal to Nuk (I like OBJ better, personally) so I'm not paying up a 1st for Gordon & a 3rd.

Not a fan of Davante Adams either so I'd pass on the 2nd one. Even if you like Adams, you're giving up too much to get the 1.1, in my opinion.

Big yes to the first one.

And a yes to the second if it is a guaranteed 1.01. Otherwise no. I have Bryant>Adams but the pick would make up for it.

Pretty easy pass on both for me.

I love Nuk, but I prefer OBJ. And I would rather have a 2017 1st (that class is looking pretty stacked) over Gordon, who may or may not ever see the field again. That's an overpay for Gordon.

The 2nd one is a very easy pass for me, but that's probably because I'm a big Martavis fan. Again, I'm a fan of that 2017 class. I would not want to give up two picks from there.
