Murray for Pead+

For the team in my sig I'm in talks for the below trade, the other owner is considering something along these lines. I think I'm fine going into the season with Rice, Charles, and Miller as my RBs. Thoughts on the deal?

Give: Murray
Get: Pead, 2015 1st, 2015 2nd

This is a pretty easy reject for me. While I'm not a huge Murray fan he is certainly worth more than this. I don't want any part of the Rams running game and the picks are pretty far off. Your team is in a position to compete right now and trading assets who could help you win a championship for picks that far in the future is not a good idea imo.

I'd want a lot more than Pead and the 2015 picks. I agree that Murray is expendable, but don't sell him short. See if you can flip him for a WR. If trading for picks, I'd want the 2015 picks to be a throw-in, not a major part of the trade.

i like it for you. murray is fragile and you have the running backs where you don't need murray. i think you can compete this year without him and you can set yourself up to compete down the line with the picks

Id do it for a comparable RB, but just not pead, id almost rather get involved in any other back-field that that one

The STL RBs are all lottery tickets for me. I know most are low on Murray, but he's a 25yo bellcow with mid RB1 upside when healthy (I know that's a gamble). Id take even 10 games of a healthy Murray over Pead and some picks that are 2 years away.
