Drop A. Roberts?
Drop A. Roberts?
I have Andre Roberts on my roster but am concerned, following the drafting of Michael Floyd, that his hopes of emerging have been dashed. Would you drop him for say Jerome Simpson (may have opportunity in Minny next to Harvin), A. Benn, D. Briscoe, or P. Parker?

No, I asked would you drop Roberts for any of the other WR's listed? Thinking mostly of Simpson as he may have more opportunity, though I understand Minnesota drafted Jarius Wright today, who could make things murky for Simpson as well.Blackout wrote:Drop P.Parker. I think I would wait to decide until I see how things pan out in AZ before dropping him... If he's the number 3/slot, then he might be worth rostering... None of those guys really jump out at me to drop Roberts for.

I'd rather have Simpson than Roberts. Obviously it's a total crapshoot for which one performs better from this point forward, but Simpson should at least have the inside track on being a starter. Roberts won't see the field for anything other than 3/4 WR sets.

First ask yourself if I drop him would anyone pick him up? If answer is no ... then drop him.

I'm a bit biased as an AZ guy, but I think Roberts still has value. He is very athletic and didn't get a lot of chances last year with the QB carousel. An improved Oline and another legit WR actually may help him get more balls. I think Simpson is a head case and won't have a good pro career. I think Roberts is a Victor Cruz type guy that given the right opportunity could do really well...
