Trade for ARSB?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade for ARSB?

Postby Prison_Mike » Tue May 21, 2024 2:12 pm

Friends & Family dynasty league - [12tm PPR SF]

I've got a good team with 2 picks in this year's rookie draft, but if the draft shakes out the way I think it will early on, I'm not super excited about making the picks.

Trade partner sits one spot ahead of me @ 1.03.

I'm wondering if this trade makes sense for both of us?

Give: Swift + 1.04 + 1.06
Get: ARSB + 2.03 + 2.10

(Feels like an overpay, I'm okay with that. We only start 9, so I want studs) - Start: QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2FLX, 1SF

Trade partner likely takes Nabers @ 1.03, probably Daniels @ 1.04 (was very frustrated with Burrow last year lol), and either Bowers or Odunze @ 1.06. No TE premium so probably Odunze. Could even take the two WRs at 3/4 and then whichever QB falls to 6

Their team:
QB: Burrow, Dak
RB: Jones, Rhamondre, Sanders
WR: ARSB, DK, C.Watson, Jamo, Wicks, M.Wilson
TE: Njoku, Schultz
Current picks: 1.03, 2.03, 2.10, 3.03

My team:
QB: Mahomes, Kyler
RB: Breece, Taylor, Swift, Javonte, Warren, Ford, C.Brown
WR: Wilson, London, Nico, Diontae, Douglas
TE: McBride, Pitts
Current picks: 1.04, 1.06

Pay up for Sun God or stick and pick Odunze + one of Daniels/Maye?
(I wouldn't make this offer until on the clock in case Nabers falls to 1.04)

With your lineups I don't think this is an overpay...I'm in a 1QB start 8 league with ARSB and would not send him for that package (adjusting the picks up a couple spots to account for different SF value). Fair offer though.

It’s a nice trade and not a bad deal to make. What’s your roster size though?

If you have a deeper roster, I might stand pat, grab a WR and get a QB at 6 since you only have 2

Fairly shallow

Start 9, 10 bench, 3 taxi, (2 IR)

I’d make the deal then. Studs rule in that format

I'm OK with this given the format, the 2.03 should still be a decent piece.
10 Team, PPR, 27 roster: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 FLEX, 1 DST, 1 K
QB: Patrick Mahomes, Jordan Love
RB: Jonathan Taylor, Kyren Williams, Devon Achane, Derrick Henry, Jaylen Warren
WR: CeeDee Lamb, DJ Moore, DK Metcalf, Drake London, Tee Higgins, Marquise Brown
TE: George Kittle, Pat Freiermuth

Picks:
2024: 1.05, 2.10, 4th, 5th
2025: 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th
2026: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th
