Aiyuk vs Kincaid vs waddle

Full ppr with 2 ppr TEP. In a 12 team startup would you prefer Dalton Kincaid , jaylen waddle or Brandon Aiyuk.

I do think TEs get way overvalued in TEP leagues. But, I’d be willing place my chip on Kincaid because there’s a chance he’s their WR1 this year.

The fact that a 75-900-7 season from Kincaid is the same pts as 100-1400-7 from a WR does swing things.

I’ll throw in a vote for Aiyuk. I know some of his efficiency numbers from last year aren’t sustainable, I just think he’s really effing good and even though he’s on a stacked offense, the other weapons are getting up there in age and prone to miss a few games. I like both of the other options, I just wasn’t overly impressed with Kincaid as a prospect or as a player last year and while his situation is good for next year, I doubt the Bills waste many years of Allen’s prime with him as arguably their top option.

Great point, but I'm the rare Wookie who is not 100% convinced Kincaid is a special fantasy TE.

It takes a special NFL TE to put up 900+yds and 7 TDs in a season. In 2023, Kelce had 984/5; LaPorta had 889/1; Engram had 967/5 which was his best year ever; Kittle had 1020/6. In 2022 which was his last full season, Hock had 960/5. I'm not ready to say Kincaid is as good as those guys, or that Buffalo's scheme is going to be designed to feature a TE that much.

OTOH, Waddle has already produced a 1356/8 season. We know he can do it and that his offensive scheme will allow it. Aiyuk has already produced a 1342/7 season. We know he can do it and that his offensive scheme will allow it.

I'm not saying I would not ever take a TE over those two WRs. However, I would not consider taking Kincaid over those two young WRs.

In 2TEP tight ends are getting a massive bump. Kincaid's 36 catches will be worth 72 from Aiyuk, which is what he had last year (74 the year before). Realistically, I see Kincaid getting in the 80-100 target range this season with the departures of both Diggs and Davis.

Which still gives him less points than Waddle in a fully healthy,typical Waddle season. Aiyuk is touching those numbers the last two years as well.
