Startup SF QB rankings

Postby NathanielWegman » Thu May 16, 2024 1:10 pm

16 teams,
0.5 pts per completion, - 0.5 per incompletion, 1 pt per 20 yards, 4 pts per TD

I plan on QB/QB as my first 2 picks

The draft so far has went…
Lamb
Allen
Mahomes
ARich
Amon Ra
Hurts
Stroud
Lamar

How would you rank the QBs left?
How soon is to early to draft Caleb?

Would round 2 be to early to take CW?

Top tier RBs and WR averaged about the same as some of the top 10 QBs

Do I still to QB/QB?

CMC - 28.1
Kyren - 25
Breece - 19.4
Gybbs - 17.9

Tyreek - 27.1
Jefferson - 24.1

Most QBs that will be available to me was around 24-26

I have pick #3 in round 2 so I’m fairly early, after 9 picks, these guys remain

Burrow
Dak
Kyler
Love
Tua
Purdy
Goff
TLaw
All rookie QBs

How would you rank those guys?

Burrow
CW
Love
Kyler
Purdy
TLaw
Daniels
______________

Dak
Goff
Tua
______________

Maye
JJM

CW is a high risk, high reward pick but honestly will have pretty insulated value too just due to his capital (see TLaw). I think it's fine to take him R2 if you don't trust Burrows health.

In a 16tm SF I would go QB/QB in the first two rounds. I'd also stick with young QBs, because I'd rather have the QB situation sorted for several years. No 31+year old QBs for me if I can help it, especially in a league this deep. If you're sold on CW, I do not think your second pick is too early.

I agree, that's wild. 16tm SF QBs are going to be impossible to trade for.

Yep.

I'd even consider taking a third straight QB in the third round. Very soon in this start-up draft, every NFL starting QB and rookie are going to be off the board. In the future it's going to be difficult to draft rookie QBs in a 16tm SF if you don't have a Top 6 pick. Unless you plan on your team having one of the worst records in the league, it's important to sort out the QBs during the start-up draft.

Teams can luck into a JJ or ARSB with the 10th pick of a rookie draft. There are always a RB like Achane or Pacheco or James Cook who slide to the second half of the first round in a league like this. In a 16tm SF, no one is getting Stroud or Pennix with 1.10. QB has to be a priority in the start up draft.

I think I might lean towards CW at 1.14 if Love goes at 13…

I’m on deck, Dak, Tua, Love, Kyler, Goff, TLaw are available

I'm going back-to-back QB here without hesitation. Pick your favorite when you're OTC. Would think Dak, Love or Kyler at QB1 and whoever falls or Lawrence at QB2 would be my favorite. I'm out on Tua...

I went CW in round 1..glad I did cause pick 2.1 was Daniels so that would’ve been CW.

1.15 - Love
1.16 - Kyler
2.1 - Daniels

So I got 1 more pick til I’m OTC again.
Dad, Tua, Goff, TLaw are the top guys left

I think if he makes it to me, TLaw is the pick I think
