1.06 + 1.07 + 3.06 for 1.03 + 1.13 + 1.14??

I have been back and forth with the 1.03 owner. He wants to trade back from 1.03 to get Brooks and I control most of the picks in that range. We have pretty much agreed on terms here at his 1.03 + 1.13 + 1.14 for my 1.06 + 1.07 + 3.06. He would only consider it with me promising not to take Brooks at 4 because the owner at 5 absolutely won’t take Brooks there. This allows me to get Odunze and Bowers then take 2 shots in the late first or move them for vets. Henry is on the block and I may move the 2.04 for him. I think for sure he would demand my 2.04 back on top of my side but instead he asked to swap out his 1.14 for his 2.03. I said I’d really prefer the 1.14 so he is thinking about it. I guess moving back 3 spots at that stage in the draft isn’t terrible if it does come to that.

I don’t feel very good about any WR in that 6+7 range and I really like Odunze. Does this trade make sense for me? It feels like in getting the value. Thoughts?

I’d pass..I did my draft already and it really fizzled out after pick 7…I think top 7 picks are big and then meh

the limited number of starters gives me pause, but that's basically a whole odunze just to downgrade ladd/thomas/whatever to coleman/legette/benson, plus the chance of someone slipping and the opportunity to trade up if you want. good trade if he takes it.

My thoughts exactly. And there’s a very good chance Caleb Williams slips all the way to 1.13 where I would be more than happy to take him even though I have Mahomes. Nobody ahead of me would be looking QB as of right now. I would likely move those late 1sts for a good vet player. There are some teams very eager to get into the first even if they are the last 2 picks. Odunze is jsut so much better than any WR option after him.

If the only way to get it done is by getting back 2.03 instead of 1.14, I think I'd still do it (though with less enthusiasm). If that is the case, perhaps you can hold back your 3.06?

Bottom line, if you're really excited about Odunze, I'd make it happen given the parameters you're talking about it.

Yeah I’ll have plenty of space. I already consolidated some roster cloggers for future picks and have a couple easy cuts to make still. We also just voted and approved an additional roster spot and taxi spot going forward. I could probably pull the 3.06 if I agree to change that 1.14 to 2.03.

Got: 1.03 + 1.13 + 1.14
Gave: 1.06 + 1.07 + 3.06

Very happy with that move. I was very high on Brooks so missing out on him is a bummer but it’s a sacrifice I’ll make to get Odunze.
