He'll be really solid, I think. He just needs protection.
If you keep him safe, he can go all the way, lots of scoring.
He doesn’t look impressive now, but there’s a lot of room for him to grow.

If you asked me what type of leagues Penix is best for, I’d say just the TEP

Piling on with another vote for Penix, because this vote should be totally one-sided.

Pearsall's ceiling is probably 1000yds-1150yds/season.
Penix might be an NFL starting QB for a decade.
In SF, this is an easy decision.

I guess I wasn't up for the challenge. However, I'm sure Penix is in it for the long haul.

I was watching a Penix film the other day, and the way Penix can force it in to his wide receiver through a tight window is impressive.

So good with wide receivers, how is Penix with tight ends?

He struggles with tight ends because of his size, but can hit them deep in wet conditions.

I mean, he has draft capital and route running working for him. He has late breakout age and a weak production profile working against him, plus he's not that athletic (score-wise).

Even with all that thrown out, I don't see him surpassing any of Kittle, CMC, Aiyuk, and Deebo in the the next two years and don't think SF is gonna throw it another 100 times to support him getting enough targets to really eat.

Still rather draft Ricky than somebody like AD Mitchell or Walker but the combination of player and production history has me purely on the "meh" side. :eh:

Agree, though I'm seeing Walker go in the 4th. I tried to get back in to draft him there but couldn't make it happen. I offered Tutu and a future 4th, no luck, for the 4.10. Guy took Dez there.
