I wish I could trade 2 2nds for a 1st in my leagues… don’t think I’ve ever had that happen!

My guess is he had about five guys he liked to moving back to 2.05 he still got his guy AND he got another 2nd. Not bad.

Yeah, I actually just made a trade like this but in reverse. I gave a future 1st (playoff 1st I hope!!!), to get 2.04+2.05. I drafted Penix and Sinnott with the picks (te premium league). To me, both of those players carry a late-1st value in that format, so I was happy with the deal. Ask me again this time next year and we’ll see though

I like that one for you - and I agree, both those players are each late 1st value next year... so great trade for you IMO.

Likely undersold here but was tired of having zero WR depth. (I was a strong contender last year but only rostered 4 WRs, it came back to by me down the stretch). I tried moving QBs/RBs in-season last year and it never worked so I figured I had to take the deal that was on the table even if I lost a bit of value

Yeah it's largely a bet on Diontae returning to being a target hog. But I don't fault anyone for preferring Baker. They're 3 rounds apart in startup ADP so I know I took a hit. But being the #1 seed all year and then having to start Demarcus Robinson in RD2 last year's playoffs scarred me

I've lost plenty of deals to shore up another position before, so I get it. Probably would have waited a bit before worrying about lineups though

Agree that it's sometimes very much worth it to "take a loss" on value, but improve your production capability.

Sometimes, you just gotta chuck all those comparisons and ask, "does this trade give me a better chance to win?"

That's a lot, but you got your guy, one of the best QBs in the NFL. And if I can give up 1.09 + 2025 1st (late) + Henry + Diggs + Downs + Andrews to get the 1.01 for Harrison, you can do this to get a proven QB in Mahomes. Stings a bit.

Caleb could be Mahomes, but it's likely he's not.

I also can see the rebuild side. Get Caleb and hope he's 80% Mahomes. Replace Pittman with Odunze and take a few other swings

Yeah. Definitely a bit of an overpay but I think my team is primed to compete so takes the risk out of it.
