2.01 vs 2.08 + 3.01
Just received this offer for my 2.01 rookie pick. 12 team superflex
Seems like ok value, but the quality of prospects at 2.01 seem substantially be better so I’m reluctant
Thoughts?

Pass. Needs to add 2025 2nd at least to interest me.

Re: 2.01 vs 2.08 + 3.01
Agree. Pass. Moving back seven (in a KEY spot in the SF draft) to get an early 3rd? Nope. If they can add a player or another 2nd, maybe. I'm trying to get as many picks as I can in the early 2nd.

It needs to be at least two 2’s for the 2.1
Re: 2.01 vs 2.08 + 3.01
Sure, but it can’t be any worse than 2.12, so I have no idea why someone would add more seconds to get the worst possible 2nd (2.12) or any late 2ndwickerkat1212 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 9:05 pmEasily. You have no idea what those are going to be. Now if it was for the 2.09-2.12 sure.

Sure, but who wants 2.12 + 2.12 for 2.01? Nobody. So you try to minimize the risk. For example, I was trying to package my 25 1st (which will certainly be early) but the guy wanted 24 picks instead. He wanted the known variables vs. the unknown, EVEN IF the future pick turns out to be better. You know how it is.Jrblaha wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 11:20 amSure, but it can’t be any worse than 2.12, so I have no idea why someone would add more seconds to get the worst possible 2nd (2.12) or any late 2ndwickerkat1212 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 9:05 pmEasily. Right, but in that case you’d be hedging that the future 2nds don’t end up 2.12. Idk about you but I’m not great at picking who’s gonna win my league in the offseason, or even when the season starts.wickerkat1212 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 11:23 amSure, but who wants 2.12 + 2.12 for 2.01? 2.01 was probably too lofty unless that class wasn’t deep. I was just giving my trade rejection as context as I think it had similar value to the offer being discussed.
I’d personally consider 2 future 2nds for a second in the 2.04-2.07 range, especially if I’m rebuilding. The future seconds that were offered, by this year standings, were 2.02 and 2.10 (but again, who knows what they’ll end up being)

Re: 2.01 vs 2.08 + 3.01
Right. All good thoughts. When I trade for futures, I try to anticipate a range. Will the guy who won it all be a late pick again? Most likely. Will the guy in last place stay at the bottom? Probably. That's all. If a guy is offering me two future picks I TRY TO PICK the team that I think will be worse. If they're both in the middle, sure, no idea, right? I do that too, but it’s still so hard to be right in our league. There’s one team that always makes the playoff and one team that never seems to. Outside of that, the other 10 can be any order. Re: 2.01 vs 2.08 + 3.01
The 2.01 is a hard pick to get somebody to move off of, it's so early, essentially a 1st. They KNOW they have the BEST pick in the 2nd round. Would I take 2.02 + 2.03? Yes. Would I take 2.02 and 2.08? Maybe. Would I take 2.02 and 3.06—now it's getting late. I have the 2.02 and 2.04 in a Superflex and I'm trying to get the 2.03 as well.Jrblaha wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 1:31 pmI do that too, but it’s still so hard to be right in our league. Will the guy who won it all be a late pick again? Most likely. Will the guy in last place stay at the bottom? Probably. That's all. If a guy is offering me two future picks I TRY TO PICK the team that I think will be worse. If they're both in the middle, sure, no idea, right? LOLJrblaha wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 11:56 am
Right, but in that case you’d be hedging that the future 2nds don’t end up 2.12. Idk about you but I’m not great at picking who’s gonna win my league in the offseason, or even when the season starts.
