Sent: N. Collins, 1.4, 2025 3rd
Received: J. Waddle, T. McBride

Granted Collins looked great last year, but I was able to get him (plus a 2nd) late in the year for Kamara, and at worst Waddle is a lateral move. I think he grades out slightly higher in value imo. The 3rd I don't care about, and McBride is now a top 5 dynasty TE. Overall, I'm happy with the deal. Seems fair.
Great trade in 1QB. Only reason not to do this would be rookie FOMO. It's a smart move to lock in McBride vs. taking the shot on Bowers. And I think you got an upgrade from Nico to Waddle (regardless of the Nico hype).

While I prefer Nico to Waddle, I still think this is a good deal. Even better if you have those 2 WR close

Interesting to see how others feel about this.
I prefer the 1.08 here, however, I saw a poll on this exact same question on RotoHeat, and the poll results blew my mind.
JSN - 45 1.08 - 0

IMO, this is a 50/50 poll, as JSN was pick 1.05/1.06 in a weaker draft class in 2023.
Then had a weak rookie season in 2023.
It blew my mind that JSN value has not drop AT ALL after a weak rookie season.
People are ready to kick Bryce Young and QJ to the curb, but still value JSN just as high, if not higher than last year.

To say it is weak, you must have expected something else. What did you expect going into the season?

Exactly. 2023 for JSN was highly predictable. Came in injured, third in line for targets, Geno Smith playing like 2nd half '22 Geno (vs. first half '22). Ends up a decent (not great) 60/614/4 on 88 targets.

I'm surprised by the poll results. We've banged this around a bit on the forum before and the comments suggested to me that its was fairly split. Maybe leaning toward the 1.08. I had said I'd take the JSN for the 1.08 and felt when reading the posts that I'm now higher on JSN than average. FWIW - I'd probably hold the 1.08 now that JJM has risen. If JJM gets the anticipated draft capital he's worth slightly more than JSN. I'm still willing to trade a 2024 1st for JSN, but probably the 1.09 or later.

The 1.08 is about the cut-off for JSN in SF.

Give me 1.07 or higher over JSN to re-roll into Odunze or Bowers/QB3.

I think you would have to be really down on JSN to take lower than the 1.08. Either that, or you really like a RB, WR 4/5 or QB4 and are willing to gamble on them instead.

I expected better than a low end WR4 (WR48), averaging 8.8 PPR PPG. Low end WR5 in PPG scoring, WR60.
I expected more than rookie WR8 production. Tied with Michael Wilson.
I mean did you all expect JSN production to = Michael Wilson production going into 2023?

I do realize that expectations were low, but for me, mid to low end WR3 numbers would have been my expectations floor for JSN.
Somewhere in the WR30-WR36 range, or 3-4 more PPR PPG, as a floor.
I mean Darius Slayton averaged more PPR PPG than JSN.

I realize that many had tempered expectations for JSN as a rookie, and I did too.
I just did not expect him to be so close to QJ in production.
QJ's value has taken a HUGE hit, which it should have.

However, I can't understand how teflon JSN is, though I suppose I should, because he went to Ohio State University.
I mean a low end WR2 finish and a high end WR3 finish can't seem to taint Garrett Wilson value.
Ohio State WR's just seem to be immune to poor NFL production.

IMO, JSN rookie year = Bryce Young rookie year.
Since we all had low expectations for Young too, with no WR's nor offensive line.
Yet somehow, Young value seems to have slipped quite a bit more than JSN value.
Perhaps if Bryce Young had gone to Ohio State University, his value would not have dipped so much.

Smith-Njigba's 6.1 aDOT was outside the top 90 at wide receiver. I'd take the 1.08 and maybe any 1st this year depending on NFL draft results. JSN may be decent, but he is not an elite prospect.

Selling JSN is fine. But aDOT isn't a WR metric. It's an offensive game plan metric.

Is the poll 1QB? Think that would explain this. There aren't 8 prospects I'd take over JSN in 1QB. Superflex, it's a real debate.

No, the poll was 12 team SF league.
