Re: Jaleel McLaughlin
I get some Jaylen Warren Austin Ekeler Tony Pollard Darren Sproles vibes from him, though he's not quite as big/thick as some of those guys.
He's the NCAA all-time leading rusher which is no small feat no matter how small of a school you're at, and it didn't take long for him to impress on the NFL field. He drew CONSTANT praise from Denver media during the off-season and flashed in every single pre-season game.
Someone made the point that Sean Payton has always loved utilizing a space back, from Reggie Bush to Darren Sproles to Pierre Thomas to Alvin Kamara and they were awesome fantasy assets. I think McLaughlin can fill that role for the Broncos and provide Flex type production as the secondary back on this team. If Williams misses time (and I'd be surprised if he doesn't at some point in time), I think McLaughlin could easily put up RB 2 numbers.

Maybe idk, give him and Mims more work. They look like Denver's biggest playmakers.

Re: Jaleel McLaughlin
Looks like a ten-ish touch per game guy, who can be efficient. Ugly committee, in Denver. Payton likes using multiple backs. This kid has some juice. I think Javonte's time as a top dynasty back is a thing of the past. This entire offense is going to be overhauled, next year, I would think, but I think Payton keeps "his guys". Jaleel is one of his guys, as is Mims. The Russ/Payton thing isn't long for this world, I don't think.
What a mess.

Jeudy and Sutton are a good bet to be gone by the trade deadline. Re: Jaleel McLaughlin
I feel like McLaughlin is a serviceable RB2-3 especially during BYE weeks like week 5. He is extremely efficient.
I would argue I would start him with more confidence depending on matchup over K Herbert, R White, N Harris and G Edwards.

Sounds like the reason Javonte was so hyped. Must be something in the mile-high water. Hopefully that same water doesn't include season- and career-threatening injuries!Orenthal Shames wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 10:04 pm Per PFF: McLaughlin leads the league in missed tackles per attempt.

Javonte also led his draft class in college. He does do a good job at that. McLaughlin is just explosive and slippery. Same stat, different methods.JJRules wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2023 7:52 amSounds like the reason Javonte was so hyped. Must be something in the mile-high water. Re: Jaleel McLaughlin
Pretty obvious to me Javonte is clearly the lead back but it is a committee so Jaleel holds some value.
As far as Denver's WR's. Neither can separate very well. They may get moved but neither will get much in return. Denver is a mess but Javonte is the RB to own.

Re: Jaleel McLaughlin
How do people feel about McLaughlin? Seems like as Denver start playing better his opportunity playtime has taken a step back. To his credit the Defenses have been really tough like Buf/Cle. Javonte in the mean time has been killing it.
