But seriously I don't expect much out of any Buc RB & I was/am a believer in Rachaad's talent coming out. Thought he fit a Brady checkdown scheme and has enough juice in running game if he can find some space. Don't see there being a lot of open space in Tampa . Baker hasn't been known for making good decisions and taking what defense gives him.
Tucker may have a bit better power running gm but he's no bulldozer either. Hope I'm wrong and Buc's line is much better but not optimistic that the results will be there but just climbing up the depth chart & quite possibly be in a small rotational role this early is phenomenal for a UDFA. CONGRATS (both to him & those of us that thought this could happen)
Now we will see the goalposts move & the narrative will be " Tucker won't be startable in your fantasy lineup " which we never said. Just said in a weak RB room his talent was good enough to get on the field. HASN'T DONE IT YET but our bets are looking like they will pay off. All we were banking on was an opportunity for a late rd / free pick up to MAYBE take over in a decent role. A la Pacheco
Perhaps you can then flip him as an add on to seal a deal or outright find a rb needy team to give you a 2nd or early 3rd in exchange.Maybe he goes gonzo and becomes an injury / bye week fill in that wins you a week.Any of those are a complete win.
Or maybe he sucks & fades back into oblivion
Re: Sean Tucker
Not bad for an UDFA rookie with a heart condition who is 4th on the depth chart and not likely to be on the active roster.Lumps wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 8:35 am Sean Tucker named RB2:

I’m a fan too…but this article is based on a tweet with no source and from an account with no following…
It’s a misguided article. It might turn out to be right…but the source seems highly questionable to me. Sounds like an opinion tweet (directed at the Bucs) that turned into a fact source somehow.

Yeah, just noticed this. Bucs put out their official depth chart post cuts, and he's 4th. The tweet is from a beat reporter, but he's "reporting" something seems more prediction than fact, at least currently.Valhalla wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 1:38 pm I’m a fan too…but this article is based on a tweet with no source and from an account with no following…

Not sure on the choice of words here....was a double entendre meant to tie into his medical condition, or just coincidental?ericanadian wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 7:44 pm2nd in our hearts, 4th on our official depth chart.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Wed Aug 30, 2023 1:52 pmYeah, just noticed this. Yes, the easiest thing to do is to either send myself or the other mods a PM or, even easier, just "Report" the post and we'll see it

Our Lads / ESPN / Official Tampa Bay Bucs depth chart
All have him as RB4.
Until I see him splitting carries with Rachaad White in the opener, I don't think I'm buying this report just yet.
Luckily for us, there's not long left to wait

Re: Sean Tucker
Sports Illustrated’s JC Allen reports Bucs rookie Sean Tucker will open the season as the No. 2 running back.
The undrafted rookie beat out Chase Edmonds and Ke’Shawn Vaughn for the job. Tucker has been repping with starters for weeks so this doesn’t come as a surprise. Tucker’s profile is better than most Day 2 backs — rushing for over 3,000 yards as a three-year ACC starter — but medical concerns pushed him off draftboards. Standalone value may not be there for Tucker if Edmonds plays on pass downs, but Tucker is the zeroRB pivot to Rachaad White.

But claims of "Number 2 on the depth chart" will have to wait until the facts match reality
