Superflex. What’s the value difference in picks as of today?

A lot. It would take the 1.01 plus another pretty nice piece to downgrade from the best asset in SF to Fields. I still wouldn't do it.

Am I crazy for thinking 1.08 + 2 future 1st gets it done?

Probably. Fields isn’t really even established as the long term starter yet. He could be out of a job by the end of the year. It’s worse than where Hurts was before breaking out and you were getting maybe a second in value for Hurts. I’d want an earlier pick than 1.08 and those extra firsts would have to have some upside.

I couldn't imagine what it would take. Mahomes is elite and soooo safe. Super high floor and ceiling. Fields in on a 1 year trial, and if he doesn't play well this year, and the Bears have an early first, and another first, good chance they hit reset. Fields was inherited. They gave him upgrades, so it's a sink or swim season.

I wouldn't even consider moving off of Mahomes for Fields plus, the drop off is too great, and way too risky at the QB position, that all the other pieces wouldn't matter if Fields doesn't improve and become a long term starter.

Do you have a Fields < a 2nd round pick in value or am I reading this wrong?

On Fields vs Mahomes: This is at least a 2-tier drop, possibly 3-4. Fields could not be the cornerstone of an offer for Mahomes. Possibly something like Chase + Fields for Mahomes could get a conversation started in SF.

I see no point in continuing to read replies in this post. This closes the argument appropriately.

No, he’s definitely worth a second. Probably a later one than what people were getting for hurts before his breakout, though.

I believe the OP asked about SF, where even Fields haters agree he's worth more than a 2nd.
