2024 early 2nd vs 3.02+3.05

Postby lt1hawk337 » Fri Jun 02, 2023 9:35 pm

Top team in signature.

I'm kind of waffling back and fourth. To me it's a fair trade on paper. The team with the 2nd is hot garbage and it wouldn't suprise me if it turned out to be 2.01....Cory Davis is the top receiver on the team.

It's a 24 spot roster and I'm working to consolidate. My rebuild has went really well, because I've hit in the 3rd round alot the last 3 years and flipped for a 1st or 2nd. Running backs are my forte (Mitchell, Stevenson, Herbert, Warren, etc.)

Do I stick with what works or do I consider this hitting in the 3rd round by taking the 2nd now? I wouldn't consider it, but I think I can flip Chandler and Ford if they start seeing reps, so I don't want to drop them.

At 3.02 I was going to take either Spears or Bigsby. I traded Etienne for Pitts because I think Etienne will be good, but Bigsby will get some of the work as well.

What are your thoughts.

I have 23 spots filled and still have to pick up a kicker and defense before the start of the year, so ill already be dropping someone.

Was also thinking of countering with my 3.02, 3.05, 4.01 and 4.11 for his 23 2nd & 3rd.

While normally I’d jump at the higher capital-Spears and Bigsby sound like the play because I never see them there at that point. Spears particularly

You have the space to drop a couple, IMO.

I think I’m leaning towards a 24 2nd due to roster limitations. You will probably have a spot or two churning during season as well with only 24 spots.
TEAM 1 - 12 man SF. ppr, TEP 1.65 ppr

11 starters - QB, RB(2) WR(3) TE, SF, Flex(3)

Stroud, Kyler, Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson, Minshew, Trey Lance, Dalton l, Mike White

Breece, Achane, AJ Dillon, Justice Hill, Evan Hull, Chris Rodgriquez

Chase, Lamb, Waddle, Olave, London Drake, Demario Davis, Jake Bobo

Kyle Pitts, Mark Andrews, Kincaid, Schoonmaker

24 picks - 1x2, 3,4,5

Team 2-
12 man SF, .25ppc, .5ppr rbs, 1 ppr wr, 1.5 ppr TE

Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawerence, Jake Haehner, Jake Browning

JT, Kendre Miller,, K Ingram, Ty Chandler, Michael Carter, Kenny Macintosh, Sean Tucker

Puka, Rondale, Mooney, Wan’dale, Terrace Marshall, DPJ, Justyn Ross, Xavier Hutchinson,

Kyle Pitts, Luke Musgrave, Juwan Johnson, Darnell Washington, Jelani Woods, Elijah Higgins

24 - 1st x 3, 2nd x 2, 4th x 3 ,5

I like both RBs as a stash especially with Henry aging but I would go with the early 2nd. The pick will gain value and the cost is really nice here overall.

Come next draft, I think you will be pleased with the deal.

Meh it's not a great class so I'm easily taking the 2nd. Spears and Bigsby are alright but I'd rather save the space and bank a 2nd

It is absurd that Spears and Bigsby are available at 3.02. Who are the other top players available?

Stroud, Tillman, Musgrave, Dell, Brown.

Part of the reason they are going this late, Abanacanda was chosen at the 2.12 and one of the owners had 2 picks in the first two round and was caught asleep at the wheel. Somehow best player available was.....Leveon Bell at the 1.04 & at the 2.04 Kaepernick hahahahahah! If I were him, i'd be absolutely furious.

I offered him 3.05, 4.01 and Jeff Wilson for his 2nd. I'd really like to keep my 3.02, if possible.
