Huge package deal for Bijan

Postby Bot101 » Sun Jan 29, 2023 3:59 pm

Got a rebuilding team who might be willing to trade away the 1.01. SF, non TE premium.

Give: Josh Jacobs, Kenneth Walker, Jahan Dotson, Skyy Moore, Daniel Bellinger

Get: Bijan Robinson

My team just won the chip and looking to repeat. Kinda feels too steep, but wanted some opinions.

Way too steep for me. But I also 100% won't own any 1.01 because I'd never be willing to pay these amounts.

I like Bijan, but KW has proven he is a stud and you could argue he alone is worth as much as 1.01. Give me the package very firmly, especially with guys like Jacobs and Dotson included. Jacobs was a stud in college and I really liked him coming out of Bama, but he didn't really show up until 2022 and boy did he show up! Dotson is one of my favorite upside talents.

If you really wanted to make this trade, I'd draw the line at KW and Dotson or Jacobs, Dotson, and Moore. Otherwise you're making another team's roster very competitive for just one guy. It just doesn't add up to me, when these other guys are likely going to score you more points than Bijan will as a whole.

Walker is a very solid young back and while Jacobs may be a player to move this offseason, he also may land in a great spot. Dotson has shown a but as well. I still want to see what happens with Jacobs and this is a bit steep overall with Walker III tilting the scale.

If you really want the 1.01, it is not the worst offer I have seen but I would not make this deal. The 1.01 be just be a pass this year...

I already told the team no deal. It felt too steep and this confirms it for me. My initial offer was KW + 2.02 + Dotson but he had no interest in that, which I felt was beyond fair. I also offered KW and Jacobs and he shot that offer down too. And then I offered Jacobs + Dotson + Moore + Bellinger + 2.02 and once again denied.

Can't blame him for trying to get a massive haul, but can't blame you for immediately making a U-turn straight out of trade talks because what he turned down and what he's asking for is pretty crazy.

i got bijan there unless its very deep starting requirements. id counter asking for a pair of 2nds with bijan. really you are only not wanting to turn jacobs and kw into bijan due to making you thin at rb. i dont think you care about jahan skyy or bellinger here. with some 2nds you could take some more rb shots and have depth behind cmc and bijan
team 1
12 team, 1 pt for 4 rec, 0.1 per rush

I'd offer everything except KW. Add some picks? See if that will swing it, but I doubt it. The rest feel like four quarters for a dollar. Nice pieces, good depth, but nothing too exciting. Consider adding Lamar and/or any WR not named Devonta. IDK how long Kelce has, and you have Hock so, maybe JJ + Kelce + Teddy + Dotson? IDK. I think you could upgrade a few of the components.

If you keep Allen, CMC/KW, Devonta, Hock you'll still have a great core.

Can you even start THREE RBs?

The starting requirements make it interesting. With only 2WRs, Dotson's value drops quite a bit for me. But, with 2 Flex, you are starting both Jacobs and Walker right now. If you do this trade, then you're essentially an all-starters-no-bench team. That's a pretty high-risk profile -- and you might still be one starter short. If you're good with the studs-duds, then I'll keep signing off on the trade (and I like asking for some early 2nds back). If that's tough to stomach and/or filling your bench is hard in this league, then you're probably best served holding.

Which I hate here.

I think Jacobs is a sell, and I'm not sure that Walker's value will ever be higher. Bellinger and Skyy do next to nothing for me. I'm intrigued by Dotson, but I don't think I'd let it hold up the trade. Do you have the capacity to back-fill some of the players you'd be giving up?

I want to find a way to suggest you accept this simply because I think Jacobs and Walker are the top of their value. Keeping them certainly works; trading them, I believe, is better.

Ive already given up on it. He wants all those pieces, and he isnt communicating very well. So I keep making offers and trying to get a dialogue going which makes me appear pushy and desperate. So its over for now.
