KTC has him about 10, DLF has him about 15.
Are these fair rankings or is he being overvalued?
I think to be clear, I would like to clarify. I am not anti-Akers. I just think it is absolutely nuts that a guy coming off a severe injury, who has looked bad is being viewed as a sure fire dynasty RB#1 by a lot of folks. I have been pretty consistent, I hope I am wrong and I am routing for him, but the deck is stacked and I am not investing in that. He is outside my personal top 24.
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

I would say he is a solid RB2 value with upside. I have no idea why his value is so high right now. I am also not Anti-Akers but a fanboy I am not.

Yup. This. I think it's just some people are too "pro-Akers". I don't think his current value is justified, that's all. I am not that low on him, but I think he's probably in the teens for me, if including the new class. It's not DLF or KTC rankings I have issue with, but the polls done, on twitter suggesting he's top 6.

I'd like to see your 24. I tried making a list and there's just not enough names for him to be that far down imo. But top 10 is way too high for him.

The poll I made a week back or so seems to have a nice bell curve with Rb2 being a majority of votes

Lot depends on landing spots for FA & rookies but high RB 2 . Health will determine whether he produces at that level. Not just for him but we need to see what CMC , King HenrySaquon,Swift & others come back as ... could push him down or open up a RB 1 slot

Rams can't and haven't been able to run the ball for weeks. That'll probably only get worse next year.

He looks so average. 2nd best RB out there tonight for the Rams. Rams OL and cap situation look bleak next year, too.

I mean, the Rams OL was giving them nothing. He was met behind or at the line so much during that game.

He lacked burst, and just doesn't look the same. No wiggle. I agree the line wasn't good. Henderson looked better, no doubt. However Akers just looks like an average RB since his return. Nothing special at all. Maybe he gets better, maybe he doesn't, but so far, his return from the achilles, though fast, has not been a success in terms of how he has looked on the field. That OL is going to be a problem next year, too. No sensible person should be putting Akers anywhere near the top 5 at this point. It was getting out of control, and now it's going to come back to a sensible place. The amount Henderson was used, will definitely be a factor for ceiling next year, and TBH, that Rams teams RB may not have that high a ceiling. This is a very different team from the one Gurley was on, and how it plays.

LOL. Haters. Sounds like you have an issue with people who don't share your opinion. I think Akers has looked pretty average since his return, and doesn't warrant top 5 RB rankings. His 2.6 YPC over 4 games would suggest that as well. I see an issue with the Rams OL next year too, which will make it difficult for any RB, if it doesn't get addressed, and the Rams don't have many picks or money to put into it. Sorry if you don't agree, but try forming an argument to counter instead of cheap jabs. Come on man, I know you like the guy, but it isn't hate that's driving my talk about him, just some people's lofty projections that I don't agree with.

Henderson did not look better than Akers. They both looked equally bad.

I thought Henderson looked more explosive on a few pass plays, but neither lit it up. I think the Rams RB position in general may not be that appealing next season. Akers I think is a solid back, he's just not this league winner, elite RB that some were wanting/pushing.
