Bateman matched that on only 6 targets and it's 2nd game! Think Brown's problem has been efficiency, and I think Bateman is going to breakthrough as the alpha sooner than later.
Its possible you didn't watch this game? The excess targets weren't drops, they were mostly either misthrows or "throw aways" that happened to be closest to Brown. Bateman looks good, and these recievers should compliment each other well down the stretch. Just have a hard time seeing your negative spin on Brown's game today.
I didn't say drops. Strawman argument at it's finest.

* Eagles are bad. Getting hard to watch. Thought they'd be a mid-range team that wuld play inspired every week. Nope.
* Brady makes it look so easy these days. No Antonio or Gronk, no prob.
* I'm loving seeing the Lions playing hard today. They likely won't win but it's great to see them making it a contest.
* Cardinals are not a legit Super Bowl threat. I just feel like they are a lot of flash but not enough substance... great for fantasy though.
* Ja'Marr Chase is now a dominant WR. Remember all the talk about Tee Higgins being the alpha there... nope!
* Kyle Pitts is a MONSTER. He just turned 21 last week. Harris/Chase/Pitts made for a killer top of the draft this year in non-SF

The Seahawks paid Matt Flynn 25 million over three years to be their starter during Russ's rookie year. They fully planned on Flynn being the starter, paying him starter money (for the time). He wasn't an incumbent, but the job wasn't handed to him either. He had to earn it.

But you do have a good point that it feels like rookie QBs who are handed the job don't fare too well. I think the majority of these rookie QBs look better than average atm.
Also, keep in mind he "earned" it partially because Flynn's elbow was completely shot. Not hating on Russ, I love the guy. But injury was definitely a factor in him starting his rookie season.

don't think you need "in non-SF" here.

Also eagles are bad because of bad coaching, bad line, and bad QB. its the trifecta

K Herbert going 13/91 rushing at halftime against Tampa is impressive.

Bateman with 3 catches for 80 yards. Not bad for a 2nd game. Brown is solid. No doubt.
