Hit the Panic Button on JT?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Hit the Panic Button on JT?

Postby krtbuckeye » Mon Nov 02, 2020 5:02 am

I know dynasty is a long game, but is it time to hit the panic button on JT? And by panic button, I mean try to move him to the huge Colts fan in my league that owns Swift and Dobbins?

I am moved him last week for swift and lamb. I know it’s dynasty and you need to be patient but he has not looked good. He has been outperformed by everybody else in that backfield. I moved Tim while he was still super valuable by name for another rookie who has actually flashed. If you sell though, I would not sell low

I guess it depends on the return, but I would not be concerned currently and not looking to move him.

Depends on the trade. I would not panic, but there is nothing wrong with selling him for value.

The owner I’d be working with never initiates trade offers for some reason, so I’d have to make the approach, and he’s so sold on rebuilding around Swift and Dobbins that it would probably just be a straight swap. Thanks all, I think I need to ride out my own unrealistic expectations of JT and let it be!

That’s a haul for sure! Great deal for you! I think the best I’d hope for from this owner would be Swift or Dobbins + Chark, but I doubt he’d do that.

Yeah that return right there should be enough even if he was showing off. Lamb and swift arguably should've been just as valuable without landing spots and have looked much better

Yeah Swift was my pre-draft RB1 but DET is just such a scary landing spot for an RB.

For what it is worth, He is dinged up and local reports have him plating at about 80%. Sell at your own risk

I heard this too. He had been playing better leading up to the bye and was in line to take over the backfield. The week 8 results ran completely opposite to expectation, which could be explained by injury.

An injury would make a lot of sense as to why they flipped to Wilkins so quickly in week 8. Watching the entire game, none of the 3 backs were doing much on the ground in the first half. In the second half, JT was almost entirely phased out without a carry.

I've put this several spots, but Indy is ranked 28th of 32 in run blocking. Everyone sees their pass blocking numbers which are excellent, but they are rated terribly in the run game.

Yeah I see a lot of people noting that JT is failing to perform in spite of having the IND line to run behind...but the IND line has not been great to run behind this year.
