Gave kupp straight up for him. Preferred the youth and what I see as higher ceiling.

I don't get why people are dismissing Smitty. Despite Cam's inaccuracy issues (never as bad as Tebow's, mind you), Smith turned in some Pro Bowl caliber seasons.Titus Young's Lawyer wrote: ↑Thu Feb 14, 2019 12:06 pm In Cam’s rookie season Steve Smith had 79/1,394/7 and Smith has another 1,000 Yard year in 2014 with Cam at QB. WR has been trash recently in Carolina. If people are low on Moore because of a recent bias towards the performance of WR’s in Carolina then Moore is a strong buy for me.
Dismissing any Carolina WRs because of what they've done as a group? Look at the group first, especially after Smith's last year in Carolina- https://www.pro-football-reference.com/ ... ineups.htm

Re: Real Talk - DJ Moore
I would agree if it was just a couple of years - but 8 years is 8 years. Maybe 2019 will be the outlier but for me a Cam Newton offence is a Cam Newton offence - its going to feature a lot of rushing, including 400+ plus on the ground from Newton himself, and plenty of TE involvement. I do not think that will derail Moores development, just that the odds of him becoming a WR1 this year are pretty slim. I see him more like a WR2-3 this year ... but we shall see.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..
Re: Real Talk - DJ Moore
This is how I feel. I get 8 years is a large sample size that backs up the arguement that Cam loves using the TE position over the WR position. But we cant dismiss the complete lack of talent at the WR position. And we also should recognize that Olsen had been elite at the TE position.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Fri Feb 15, 2019 6:58 amI don't get why people are dismissing Smitty. I know its a very small sample size but for that brief period of time when Moore was finally getting starter snaps AND Cam was still healthy, Moore was putting up top 10 WR numbers. CMC didnt really become a league winner till Cam couldn't throw like he normally does.
Olsen is pretty much gone, Ian Thomas is raw, Samuels is more of a gadget type player, and the coaching staff has come out and say that they plan on reducing CMCs touches to preserve him.
So is it really that much of a stretch to see Moore be a top 12 fantasy WR??? Im thinking about putting my money where my writing is and sending away one of the top WRs in my sig and getting Moore back in a package deal. I feel that confident in his talent.

I've been thinking the same. I was a pre draft fan and, him producing so well in a sub optimal situation (not bad, sub optimal) really has me enthusiastic about him.

Re: Real Talk - DJ Moore
Cam, as he continues to progress through his career (if healthy), could very well learn to utilize his WRs more than in past years with Olsen in his prime, especially since Moore and Samuel to a degree are among the most talented WRs he had.
I’m not saying I think Moore has a 100/1300/10 season in him, but if his ceiling is capped I don’t think it’s because of Cam’s past usage of WRs. As Olsen is removed from the picture, you’re going to see increased targets for the WRs unless Thomas is a god.
Moore is an exciting asset no matter how you slice it.

Moore
1.07
1.08
For OBJ.
That feels a bit lite. So now were talking about:
Moore
Guice
Baker
17th overall
18th overall
For OBJ + Cam
Im thinking hard about this deal. Plus I'm personally not a fan of OBJ and hes a tough sell due to his antics.
Re: Real Talk - DJ Moore
Bot, I know you've been looking to move OBJ and could use just a little bit more depth. I think that's the deal. Try to get that 17th to the 1.08 maybe. If you can do that I'd be all for itBot101 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 15, 2019 4:17 pmRight now the guy I traded Moore to offeredPullo Vision wrote: ↑Fri Feb 15, 2019 1:00 pmI've been thinking the same. Re: Real Talk - DJ Moore
I'm workin that deal more. I want all my kids back (Guice, Moore and Baker).
Re: Real Talk - DJ Moore
You would still have 3 WR and 2 great RB to start. Flex would take a hit without OBJ but you would now have 2 decent options (assuming Guice is halfway worth the hype) and an upgrade at QB
Would he do the 1.07 instead of 17th and 18th?
Re: Real Talk - DJ Moore
I dont want to turn this into a trade I'm working. It just got me thinking I need to put my money where my mouth is. Ill PM you.

Re: Real Talk - DJ Moore
1200 receiving yards is within his realistic range of outcomes. I decided to do a simple exercise:Bot101 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 8:22 pm 55 rec
788 yards
14.3 yards per reception
172 rushing yards
960 combined yards receiving and rushing
1,111 all purpose yards (if you include return yards)
only 2 TDs
21 years old
I love this kid. During weeks 10-14 he was the WR 10 until Cam couldnt throw anymore. Early on he was my favorite WR in the class and he cemented himself there by seasons end. If he were coming out in this class I think I would take Harmon and possibly Harry over him at WR depending on landing spot. Assuming Cam is healthy (which it seems he will be, shoulder injury was just scar tissue cleanup and not as bad as originally feared), what is DJ Moore's year 2 ceiling? Could he possibly hit 1,200 yards receiving and say 8 TDs? Or is that unrealistic?
What is everyone's realistic expectations of him in year 2? Or beyond?
DJ Moore's yards per target in 2018: 9.6
1200 yards/9.6 yards per target = 125 targets
Panthers made 563 pass attempts in 2018
125/563 = ~22.2% target share (which would have been around 25th in the league in tgt share in 2018, I believe).
So at Moore's 2018 efficiency levels and the Panthers 2018 passing volume, he'd need a 22% target share to be in the range of 1200 rec yards. Perhaps on the optimistic side as a projection but I could definitely see it happening. You could argue his efficiency would come down with increased volume, but it could also go up with a healthier Cam. The Panthers might also pass more often with Cam healthy.
Re: Real Talk - DJ Moore
Interesting exercise I love it! Is there a way one could extrapolate Moore's #s while having starter snap percentages + Cam being healthy?
