Saw that. What a joke. A guy with 640 yards as his career best year, going in the top 5. What a joke. I think Jeremiah is doing this for shock value. If and when Jacobs gets drafted later and hits, he can say "I told you so". Ridiculous to mock this guy as a top 5 pick.

He's explaining it from the angle of- Kamara was a first round talent drafted in the third due to limited touches. He believes Jacobs is very talented and his limited college touches (lots of tread on the tires) shouldn't hold back his draft position.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 7:42 pmSaw that. I understand that, but top 5? I don't see it, either. Kamara looked better to me in college. This is a guy just farting around with fake drafts, it's not what will happen. We shall see IF he goes 1st round, but he's not going top 5, regardless. That's how a GM loses his job.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 8:09 pmHe's explaining it from the angle of- Kamara was a first round talent drafted in the third due to limited touches. If Kenny Britt can have 1 fantasy relevant season I believe Doctson can too - only have to wait 2-3 more seasons to find out!drbuttermaker wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 3:05 pmGlad to hear I am not the only one. At one point, he said he uses the beginning of the process to try to get players in the right neighborhood, then in the right house !after. It'll be interesting if, in future versions, Jacobs is mocked in the first (but later) out of the first entirely or if he sticks in that top 10/5 neighborhood.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 8:14 pmI understand that, but top 5? Can't see a GM putting his job on the line for that college production. If anyone take Jacobs at 5 and he isn't fantastic, that GM loses their job. For real. It just can't be justified to ownership if you make that pick and whiff.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 6:11 amAt one point, he said he uses the beginning of the process to try to get players in the right neighborhood, then in the right house !after. What SHOULD hold his draft position back is the fact of him being a RB, lol.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 8:09 pmHe's explaining it from the angle of- Kamara was a first round talent drafted in the third due to limited touches. Re: Who are the studs coming in 2019
The draft experts/writers that I read don't seem that high on this class of skill position players at all. In the RB thread, some posters are saying that Elijah Holyfield is the best RB in this class and he's not even ranked highly on some mocks right now. Plus, he caught like 7 passes at Georgia. I just don't get a good feeling with this class at all.Dynasty DeLorean wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 2:33 pmlol. I could see Jacobs as the first RB off the board, but no chance it's in the Top 5.
Re: Who are the studs coming in 2019
Top 5 is probably overdoing it, but Jeremiah's pegging of Jacobs so high in the mock wasn't just off the cuff. He went into it in his podcast that it came from discussion with NFL scouts who said the pundits were missing the boat on Jacobs.
According to DJ, in his discussion with one of the scouts the scout asked him where he had Jacobs and DJ said late 1st/early 2nd and the scout scoffed and asked what he disliked about Jacobs that had him ranking him so low.

Re: Who are the studs coming in 2019
I watched some Jacobs tape, while I can see why he is getting some love I think it is also increibly hard to judge off such a small sample size (for better or worse). On the flipside, the minimal wear and tear could appeal to NFL teams.
He seems like a well rounded three down back who can block and catch. I think him to the Bucs makes a lot of sense as he seems like a back Arians would like but early 2nd would make more sense.
I could see a team grabbing him in the 20s, though.
His draft stock will be one of the more interesting ones to watch.

Ive got 1.03, ideally I'll flip it for a proven player come draft time. If not, hopefully one of Harry or Brown falls to me.

I can't wait to see Hakeem Butler's landing spot. That goes for a lot of these WR, but Butler is a tower. Hopefully they list him at 6'5 to not jinx him lol
