So how was championship week for everyone?

Postby Dynasty_Analyst » Mon Dec 24, 2018 10:57 am

Me 3 championships, 1 3rd place game 0-4. Heavy favorite in each matchup. My question is can I recover from this not only in fantasy but as a person? This could be the first step in a long stretch that could lead to me spiraling, addicted and jobless at 40. Are there support groups for these kind of tragic endings? Did I ask about your seasons as a pure way to vent? 110%

2-0 in two finals. I won the 3rd place game in another.

One final decided tonight.

Gone much better than I thought. (Helped the other guys couldn't use Gurley in two of them )

Was top seed and lost to Anderson, ridiculous hail mary touchdown pass to Rudolph and that piece of crap McQuire from the Jets. Cohen lays an egg, pettis gets hurt and Brees again lets me done in the finals like last year.

So much of this game is luck.

Here's something crazy: I looked back on all 16 weeks of play for my championship dyno team (team 2 in sig), and if I had NEVER started Gurley, all year long, and instead just started a blank roster spot in his place, no weekly matchup would have been different. That's pretty insane. Just goes to show how much a great TEAM is needed rather than just one stud.

Keep in mind this is also full IDP so a single stud makes less of a splash than in "normal" leagues - and that is why I love IDP and big lineup requirements.

Won both my 2 dynasty leagues in my sig and 1 of 2 redrafts, plus 2 of 3 bestball leagues unless something crazy happens week 17.

This is far and beyond the best year ever for me, and I'm pretty sure it will never happen again lol. I should probably just retire.
CMC is my hero, and Doug Baldwin was a playoff miracle player on almost every one of my teams.

Took an IDP Salary Cap orphan (3-10 last year) to a 8-5 season and a championship appearance. The season will end in a loss, but the goal this year was just make the playoffs (16 team league) and the rest was icing on the cake.

I need LB Todd Davis to score 25 points tonight for me to win. It’s possible but not probably without a miracle. He had a 33 point game this year and a couple of 17-19 point games.

Had a good week for the team that were in the playoffs, won 4 of 5 championship games, have two other team that advanced to week 17 championships and a third team that will advance as long as DeaSean Hamilton stays below 10 points in standard scoring. Overall pretty pleased with my teams as a whole

Took second due to Ertz, but still a decent payday. The bigger win was in redraft where we don't do fantasy playoffs, rather top 3 scores per week and top 4 regular season finishers. Love having a league that rewarda the best in season teams, it is a nice change of pace from the blind luck of fantasy playoffs. Though, that has definitely worked both ways for me.

Won one and 2nd in the other. The second place team only had 2 losses and was 400 pts better than the second scoring team who didn’t make the finals- just goes to show how much luck can factor in

Just wrapped up a championship in the inaugural season of my main league, thanks to CMC and AB mostly, and am taking home $1k. Pretty stoked!

Now to watch the playoffs in peace with no fantasy riding on the games to stress me out haha

In my other dynasty ended up 3rd. In my two redraft leagues I won($200) and got 3rd. Solid year almost exactly like last year for me(other dynasty 2nd, redraft 3rd and 1st). Solid run going in all leagues for now
Team 1
10 team .5 PPR, 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 1Flex

WR: A Brown, Jeffery, Robinson, Ridley, Pettis, Miller, Shepard, Callaway, MVS, Washington

Picks:
2019 1.10, 2.10, 3.10, 4.10
2020 1, 2, 3, 4
