Josh Gordon DONE

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

I've been off the wagon since he got traded to the patriots ( I was a truther for a long time) however this could be was over exaggerated. Last time there was a report that Gordon was late to meetings and would play a limited snap count due to that yet BB denied all cllaims and Gordon played pretty much every snap. This could genuinely be him realizing he needs to step away before he does relapse, not necessarily that he has. The media just likes to hype of the story.

I don't have any Josh Gordon shares, and I was in the "never give something really valuable up for Gordon" camp all off-season. But weren't people saying it was over last time, and the time before that, and the time before that, and.... You get my drift.
If you can get him for cheap on this news, do it. If history is any indication, his value will bounce up again.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Where is the source? All I've seen is a statement from Gordon and then a report from Tom Pelissero saying he is facing indefinite suspension. Not saying its not true but these reporters get it wrong all the time. Either way, all the Gordon owners should have seen this coming.

Whatever the reason is for his absence, it's not very reassuring for fantasy. I actually have been rooting for him since day one, but didn't want him on my roster after his first year long suspension. Even if it's not another suspension or if it is, I'm not sure how anyone can really trust him in terms of football. I think he's gotten an unfair shake from Goodell, but we don't have any control over that. That's why I'll root for him, but not roster him.

Also, he's been extremely disappointing this year when he's been on the field, so putting suspensions and everything else aside, he hasn't been worth a whole lot.

I got rid of all my shares in the off season right before he missed training camp for the Browns (thankfully) but I've always been a supporter and was worried I was going to lose a lot of the trades involving him. Obviously it worked in my favor but I think it's unfair to say he's been disappointing for fantasy purposes. No he hasnt been THE Flash Gordon but he's been putting up 12-15 points just about every week with 1 dud game and 1 blowup game which seems pretty solid considering he came to a new team and a very complicated offense mid season, not a world beater but a solid WR3/flex. He's been servicing as my WR2 in a redraft league this year just nicely. Luckily Alshon is finally showing up that I'm confident to start him over Gordon this week since Gordon is gone.

He's currently the WR39 in my league. I think people expected more than that from him, especially after being traded to NE. He hasn't been completely terrible, but I'd still say disappointing.

Off topic--

Im still LOL-----ing

at all the owners wanting to trade but at top 10 WR prices after he was traded to NE!!

Redraft and Dynasty is different.... no player is worth that type of value with his baggage and risk!
