Tyreek for Henry/Williams/1st

Postby doctor d » Mon Sep 03, 2018 8:11 am

Just had our startup draft, so hard to say where that first will land, but I’d say middle of the pack at best on paper.

Here’s my team (not in sig):
QB- Wentz, Cousins, Manning
RB- Penny, Ajayi, Thompson, Foreman, Marshawn, Powell, Gore, Prosise, Sproles, Grant
WR- Nuk, Tyreek, Golladay, Crabtree, Garçon, Hurns, Wilson, Marshall, Snead
TE- Kelce, Njoku, Ebron, Davis

I countered asking him to add Cohen for Marshawn to the deal, and he declined. Appreciate the help.

You’ve got depth issues at WR, and Mike Williams should score some TDs but Im not sure how many catches he will have. I think this is a question of Henry, and if you believe in him. Personally I would make that trade and not think about it as I really like Williams and Henry, but I think this comes down to which side of the line you are on regarding those two players.

Id take the deal and Im high on Tyreek. If Mike shows this year next year they will let Tyrell walk and he will be the #2. I also think Henry will be a solid RB2

I'm taking Hill here and I don't think it's remotely close. Keeping Hill allows you to start two studs at WR every week. Taking this trade sort bolsters your depth? But does it actually improve your lineup or value? I don't see it. Is Mike Williams going to overtake KA? MW looks like a career #2 option on his own team to me, which can equate to WR3/Flex considerations. Just don't buy the hype personally.

I like it... i mean it could go either way. to say its not remotely close is a bit silly, since its essentially 3 1sts for hill, whom im reluctent to call a 'stud' yet.

Like i said, it could go either way. Im a big fan of mike williams this year, but not so much henry. If youre a big fan if both, i would think it would be hard to pass up. Vice versa if youre a hill guy.

Mike Williams is being sold as a 1st, but he's rarely being bought as a first, ditto for Henry. I actually think an offer of three firsts is a much stronger offer than this one, as it stands both those players have not shown much in the NFL, and both their squads made it a priority to retain players above or equal to them on the depth chart. Tyrell was given a 2nd round tender, and Tennessee signed Dion Lewis to a large deal.
Mike might not even be the best Williams on his own team. MW is still behind Tyrell, an undrafted FA. Even factoring in his injury in '17 he had all summer to pass him up but hasn't. Add in a long list of wide receivers who miss most of their rookie seasons as busts and I have a ton of reason for concern. I'd rather have Courtland Sutton by a wide margin and he was being drafted in the early 2nd round. Hill has high WR1 and high WR2 finishes already, and is merely months older than MW. Hill also has no one above him on the depth chart.
Henry has looked... good, not great in the past two seasons. But he appears to be capped at two-down grinder timeshare status.

I don't think it's remotely close. I think three firsts offered to me for Hill is close. But those two players and a first is far off until I see something that justifies their owners clinging to draft capital and potential.
