It's very possible that Belichick is taking the heat to help Butler out. Maybe Butler violated some team rules...maybe he did something really dumb that would damage his future contract possibilities with another team. Bill does him a solid and tells the media it was a gameplan decision, and now New England fans hate Bill. :lol: How do you criticize that guy?
Except there's zero evidence to suggest that, and Butler certainly isn't acting as if that's the case.

Bill makes the rules. Should have broken the glass at some point during the defensive emergency that was that game. He needed him out there.
