Trading for Engram

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trading for Engram

Postby GoodellsPaycheck » Sat Sep 09, 2017 11:50 am

The proposed trade is my Kittle & 2018 2nd round pick for Evan Engram

This league's keeper system is salary cap based. You have $105 to keep up to 6 players tops. All rookies are worth $1. Non Rookies are their points total divided by 10, i.e. 300pts/10 = $30 towards the cap in order to keep said player

Given this info....Most if not all teams will keep 6 players each. Draft is anyone not kept plus incoming rookies

Is Engram worth the 2nd rounder? He looks like an absolute beast and I feel like my future at the TE position would be set with Engram and Howard. Thoughts?

Appreciate it!

With those settings I think I would pull the trigger on Engram. There are a lot of targets in NY, but like you said, he looks solid so far and will put up numbers this year. I wouldn't mind having Engram and Howard in a dynasty league.

I don't think he's worth a 2nd in your format, though he would be close the the 6th most valuable player on your roster.

I think with that format I'm close to passing. You essentially could be drafting between 4th-7th Round redraft players in that 2nd round pick. From a TE standpoint I suppose it makes sense, that's about where you're pulling 2nd tier TEs.

For that to be worth it Engram will have to turn into a 2nd tier producing TE by the end of the year. If you're confident in that then I'd go for it.
