Really? Who the heck makes trades like this? Kudos to you , but if I'm an observer owner in this league I probably throw up in my mouth a bit when I get the email notification of the completed trade.

A less engaged owner that doesn't follow or care as much. Prior to that, I offered Diggs/Tate/Tyrell/Hyde/Forte for Hilton/Gurley/Decker fully expecting him to remove Decker and/or ask for a better player or draft pick on my side. Then he countered with the above. I was shocked but what do you do? It sounds strange to say, but I would have preferred it if he'd asked for more.

And yeah, one owner in particular was pretty vocal. But he's a guy who constantly carpet bombs the league with garbage offers in hopes that he'll get one or two bites. In other words, he was only pissed that he didn't get to make a similar deal first.

May not be very popular given the hype, but taking Cook I'd be hoping he's as good as McCoy already is.

Another big trade for my rebuilding team

Moved AJG, CJ Anderson, and Jamaal Charles for Jordan Matthews, Will Fuller, Sterling Shepherd, and a 2018 3rd.

Clearly, I lose now, but ajg is entering his age 29 season, and I don't look to be competitive until his age 31 season, at the earliest.
Obviously, incumbent on my accepting this deal, I actually like the 3 players I received back...its kind of like a "he had the right pieces" type of trade...and enough of them he could lose all of them and condense his wrs. He is a contender, unlike myself.

I feel a bit down, AJG (And reed before him) were on trade bait for extended time with very limited interest/lowballs. My league is quite youth centric which I had parlayed for many years acquiring cheap vets to contend..but the chicken came home to roost leaving me old and not all that talented. I now feel set up for a strong 2019...assuming I can nab several RBs with my other assets.

The years of getting 3 firsts for AJG are done and gone. It was a fun ride though

I might be falling victim to the Perriman hype train. This is a for an orphan rebuild that I took over last year. Adding to my motivation to want to do this deal is that rosters are kind of shallow in this league by my standards, so I liked the idea of freeing up 2 roster spots.

League size? Even if it's a 10 team league, that's pretty crazy that Hopkins fell to 16. Even more so if this is a 12 teamer and it's actually pick 18. I'm shocked that an owner would pass on Hopkins in the middle of the 2nd just to get a 4 pick bump in the 5th/7th. Nice work for you.
