Brandin Cooks Price?
This may not be the best place for this topic, but was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion on Brandin Cook's price going into this year.
I'm looking to move for him, obviously his price is going to be very high but personally I think this is the lowest it will be for a while, I think it is only going to get higher as the season gets closer.
So I was wondering if anyone could give a decent price check on him?

Re: Brandin Cooks Price?
I'm not a huge fan but I'd cough any player in this draft for him other then Fournette, Davis, Mixon or McCaffrey . Guess he would be #5 on my board if you were mixing him in with rookies .

Re: Brandin Cooks Price?
Depends on the league setup I suppose. In a non-ppr, RBs are worth more and I'd rather have Fournette. In ppr, I'd want more than 1.1 for Cooks...but I like the guy quite a bit.
Re: Brandin Cooks Price?
Oh and Stl Rams Fan...sorry to break it to you...but...well...you know
Re: Brandin Cooks Price?
I also snagged Cooks in a early salary league/ppr start up this year. I am surprised at some of the critics. He just went to one of the best situations in the NFL. Being in NO was obviously great too. I think he is a hold at this point. When Sundays hit this year you will be happy you kept him while you watch ESPN highlights every week. The guy has one speed....real real fast!
Re: Brandin Cooks Price?
I'm with you.. He is really hard to price. The Pats never seem to use someone as intended, so will he be just a script piece, or will he be a main piece. They gave a lot for him, so it seems that he will be utilized a lot. I think that his value will skyrocket in a year or so, this year I could see it down a little bit has he gets settled in. Then again, they haven't had a receiver with his ability since Moss, and we all know how that went.
I packaged him in a trade for Freeman, so I just went through this haha

Re: Brandin Cooks Price?
I'd say he's the 1.03 in this class. Could easily end up being the 1.01 or better but if I didn't own him I'd bank on Fournette or Corey Davis being just as good if not better. If you're a contender, I could easily see taking Cooks over Corey Davis.
Re: Brandin Cooks Price?
there is no better situation for a wr like Cooks, then the one in New Orleans. A pass happy team in a dome with a shitty defense. Now sure how his situation has gotten better.
Re: Brandin Cooks Price?
I can see your point. I like him where he landed better than some of the other potential landing spots. I think he will show up. 1.3 is probably close. If a owner went 1.1 I wouldn't hate it.

Re: Brandin Cooks Price?
In a ppr format I'd say his value is around 1.01-1.03 range. I don't think his situation is better this year. There is so many mouths to feed in NE I just don't think he sees as many targets as he's been accustomed to
Re: Brandin Cooks Price?
Should have some up and down games. I think he's the present and future for NE. His yards after catch should be crazy in NE with them quick slants.

Re: Brandin Cooks Price?
The Saints spread the ball out a ton. The Patriots heavily target their top WR. He could see an increase in targets despite being in an offense that throws the ball less.

Re: Brandin Cooks Price?
Just to add some confirmation to what others are saying, Cooks went between Fournette and Davis in a start-up that began drafting about a month ago. So 1.01-1.03 seems in line with this single data point of the market

Traded him away for 1.05 and 1.09 and was pretty happy.
