Trade adivce

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade adivce

Postby JohnFairbairn » Fri Apr 22, 2016 12:40 pm

I was offered

Give 1.10

Get Crabtree and 34 overall

I need 1 more WR and a backup QB. Thinking i might be able to get 1 of the 2 with the 10th pick

Not knowing your roster this is a no for me, probably even if it was posted.

Crabtree had a nice season last year, and I could easily see him duplicating his numbers, or maybe even improving them a bit, but I think I'd lean ever so slightly toward the 1.10 and go with the youth/upside of whoever I ended up with at that spot. If you're pushing for a title next season though, I could see the argument for making the trade.

I agree that I'd have to see your roster, and particulars about the league, such as starting lineup requirements, number of teams, etc.

I think you are down a couple of tiers from the top by the time you get to the 1.10 pick, especially this year, so I'm not opposed to dropping a round or so and picking up a decent veteran WR option.

Tough call without team details. At face value seems ok.

Agreed. I lean towards keeping the pick, and I would definitely hold out for now. You might be able to get a better deal closer to the NFL draft/your league rookie draft when picks seems particularly shiny and new.

I would keep the pick and think it's more valuable than Crabtree especially right now just prior to the NFL and rookie drafts. You should be able to get a bit more for the pick than Crabtree.

Slight edge to the 1.10 side. I'd only consider this trade if you're relatively high on Crabtree, are a contender, AND have a pressing need at WR. Even then I still suspect you'll be able to get a better value for it closer to draft day.
