Jaelen Strong...why not me?

Postby Swampdonkey17 » Fri Feb 06, 2015 9:06 am

Seems like he's being left out in the discussion of the WR's. He's not in the Amari/White/Cooper talk, but he's not in the Dorsett/Smith talks either. What gives? Is this the he doesn't excite me but does everything right type? I've seen little tape on him, don't know what to think

I like Strong a lot. Big, physical receiver with pretty good hands. Doesn't have home run speed or anything but has good enough quickness to be a threat. I have him in my Top 5 WR for this class.

Saw a conversation on twitter last night about Jaelen .. that he has inconsistent separation at the stem of his routes and that is the reason he has so many contested catches in the first place .. also that CB's were not scared of Strong either ..meaning they rarely pressed him or was physical with him at the line of scrimmage... Some things to consider.

Would you say he looks more like Reuban Randle or Alshon Jeffery as a prospect?

I read earlier in week his comparison is Marshall.

To add to this convo, if youre taking Strong, you considering Funchess at same spot? He seems to be only WR(?) in the same tier.

Call me crazy but to me he looks similar to Jordan Matthews.
