2014 Bold Predictions

Postby growskey23 » Sun Jun 15, 2014 7:32 pm

Alright everyone, its time to start up 2014 bold predictions! GET CRAZY!

-The Vikings become a Top 5 offense after Teddy Bridgewater takes over in Week 5.
-Greg Jennings has a rebirth (Teddy depends on the old vet) and scores more fantasy points than Cordarrelle Patterson in 2014.
-RGIII is QB #6 behind Manning, Rodgers, Brees, Luck, Stafford.
-Lynch is traded from Seattle to the Panthers. He's still got it and helps the Panthers get to the NFC title game.
-Jordan Matthews becomes Nick Foles favorite target. He puts up 1,000/8.
-Trent Richardson puts up big numbers and there is a crazy and annoying amount of "I believed in TRich all along" posts popping up.
-Lance Dunbar tops 1,000 all purpose yards.
-By week 8, we will have a good idea whether Justin Hunter is the next big thing or a big bodied bust. If its the former, he will be talked about as one of the candidates for the top WR tier (in the Alshon, Allen range).
-Johnny Manziel starts Week 1 and flops right on his face. He shows quickly that he isn't a franchise QB. Skip Bayless blames anyone and everyone but Johnny (including LeBron James) for his failure.

To be continued...

Have fun

- Keenan Allen proves everyone wrong... Again, explodes into a top-5 ceiling as the lone solid WR target in SD
- Vereen gets injured, James White leads the Pats RBs in all purpose yards.
- Despite the offseason reports, Knowshon finishes as a solid RB2 and doesn't miss a game.
- Bernard Pierce finishes as a top-15 back.
- McKinnon, Sims, Taliaferro all prove to be just handcuffs and have absolutely no role at all.
- Davante Adams challenges for OROY

- Carson Palmer finishes in the top 8 QBs
- New England wins their division again, but by only 1 game, and people begin to predict the end of their dominance
- Joique Bell is Detroit's leading rusher for 2014
- The 49ers use a committee approach at RB in 2014 and then draft another RB highly again in 2015
- The Rams win 9 games but finish last in their division again

Really bold predictions:
- Oakland becomes a competitive team
- The Browns become a competitive team
- The Bills become a competitive team

I would like Jacksonville as well, but that would require a whole new category. :-)

Lamar Miller finishes as a high RB2.
Bernard Pierce finishes low RB1.
Cobb doesn't produce elite numbers...again...750 yards and 5 TDs.
Harvin plays less than half the season, due to injury...but still puts up top 20 WR numbers.
Gio does in fact get his 300 touches.
Alshon overtakes BMarsh as THE guy in Chicago.
Gronk gets out scored by a kicker due to injury.
Jimmy Graham holds out into the season, but still tops all TEs, but in reality it doesn't matter since he is now designated as a WR. Boom!
Blackmon comes back week 9.
Josh Gordon hospitalized for a marijuana overdose.
Tom Savage starts for Houston after a great preseason.
Carr starts week 1 for OAK.

1. DT is the top Scoring WR
2. Percy Harvin plays in 14+ games and finishes in the 10-15 range
3. Greg Jennings outscores CPatt
4. Justin Hunter elevates to Keenan Allen type level
5. Montee Ball is a top 10 scoring RB
6. Shady McCoy is not in the top 5 RBs
7. Jordan Matthews is OROY
8. Dexter McCluster is a top 25 RB in PPR leagues
9. Devonta Freeman is a major disappointment
10. Mike Evans is not considered one of the top 3 rookie WRs from this year
11. Carlos Hyde becomes a very very hot commodity after Gore gets injured and doesn't win back the job.

Montee Ball is benched by Week 8 and destined for fantasy irrelevance.
Rod Streater is a top 30 WR.
Mark Ingram is startable.
Julio Jones is the WR1.

I wouldn't consider these bad bold predictions. I kinda like them. I don't know think they are completely unrealistic and wouldn't be totally surprised if a few came through. It's not like he predicted something like "DLFiend actually will post constructive comments on this forum in 2014"

Well maybe not, but I can tell you your comments = completely unnecessary. Way to blast without even posting any yourself there tough guy, that's why this post was created I'm sure, for snarky comments. Besides, I don't think I went unrealistic. I didn't say Cam Newton will actually fly while doing his superman act, goalposts will be turned upside down in an attempt to make extra points harder, or DLFiend will bring constructive and knowledgable advice to his posts instead of the just the rude, one sided, close minded garbage he normally posts. Now those would have been unrealistic!
