McCoy's ADP is 9+ and Dez's is 13+. So, I'd likely take McCoy, in a vacuum not knowing scoring, roosters, etc.

I know it probably won't happen, but the owner of the team was last place last season, and he seems like somebody that would maybe go for a trade like this.

We are 16 team IDP league, 1RB 1RB/WR 2WR 1WR/TE. With the flex spots it is nice having legit WR's because of the lifespan they have in the NFL compared to RB's. But it is true, top notch RB's are normally what you need to win a championship.

I'm feeling after the Romo extension and last seasons burst, Dez could be a top 5 receiver for the next 3 seasons.

I tend to disagree with everyone else. I would keep Dez over Shady. I think that Shady has already had the best year of his career, and Dez is just starting to show what he can do. As a WR Dez should produce after McCoy is an after thought.

DeSean Jackson isn't consistent enough to be a WR 1 or 2.

That's certainly an interesting argument. I'm not sure anyone would disagree with your premises (that McCoy may have had his best season, and will likely play less time than Dez), but most people will disagree with your conclusion (that those premises make Dez more valuable than McCoy). I mean, you're talking about most RBs compared to most WRs. Usually, WRs last longer than RBs... Plus, most upper-tier RBs have likely seen their best seasons (Martin, AP, Rice, Foster, Morris, as well as Shady).

Even if your argument is spot on and you KNEW that Dez was going to be more valuable than Shady, another larger point is that most people won't think so. That being the case, you can get more for Shady than for Dez. You should be able to get Dez+ for Shady, rather than the other way around simply because of market value (despite real value).

I agree, most people will disagree, and for good reason. Sometimes in fantasy teams, me, go with their gut. My gut tells me McCoy is the next Chris Johnson, and Dez is Beast Mode 2.0.
