Wallace vs. Decker
I know Decker is the #2 in Denver, but after watching Wallace last year and the fact he just cashed in worries me. Any thoughts on which way to go?

Wallace. Decker could be 2B to Welker's 2A. Wallace may have a worse QB situation and offense, but he's the clear No. 1.
Opportunity trumping talent, imo.

Re: Wallace vs. Decker
I'm not so sure I'd really view Wallace's "opportunity" to be better than Decker's. Even if Decker winds up being the WR3 in the Denver offense, I could still see him surpassing Wallace's numbers, and it wouldn't surprise me one bit.twoangrybadgers wrote:Wallace. Re: Wallace vs. Decker
I don't picture Welkers numbers being better than Stokley's were last year. I know he's more talented, but Peytons connection to Stokley from the Colts should have meant that he'd throw him the ball as much as possible. I don't think Decker's numbers suffer as much as people think they will even with Welker on the Broncos.

Re: Wallace vs. Decker
I have no horse in this race and I think I would prefer the clear cut number one receiver in his offense. Mike Wallace. I think Decker struggles to crack 1000 yards this season.

Re: Wallace vs. Decker
I'm worried about Decker repeating last year's performance for sure, but I'm hoping for the best I guess. I also don't trust Dolphins receivers that much. However, if there is one to own, I think it's Wallace.georg013 wrote:I have no horse in this race and I think I would prefer the clear cut number one receiver in his offense. Mike Wallace. Re: Wallace vs. Decker
I was recently offered Decker for my Wallace and turned it down. I think Wallace has a higher upside.

Re: Wallace vs. Decker
To chime in as a Broncos fan. I think Decker takes a very same hit on his numbers. I also think Welker can get his 100 rec. The people who will be hurt most by the Welker signing is the Broncos TEs. Think the Number of rec between the TEs and Stockley last yr was somewhere near 140 rec. I can see Welker taking close to 100 of those. A lot less 2 TE sets nd a lot more 3 WR sets coming.
That being said ill take Decker over Wallace and his 1 route ability

Re: Wallace vs. Decker
I agree with this. I don't think Decker or DThom take a big hit in production. Manning has had 3 1000 yard receivers before. I think it was in 04 when Harrison, Wayne, and Stokely did it. James had over 1500 total yards that year too.??Droppedballs?? wrote:To chime in as a Broncos fan. I think Decker takes a very same hit on his numbers. I also think Welker can get his 100 rec.
