Should I shop CMC, Kelce, Diggs, DJM, and Keenan?

Context: Back to back championship, not sure if I should try running it back as-is trying to three-peat or cash in on what might be my last chance with aging players?

Small 10 team 20+ year league of friends that tends to have large gaps of super teams and rebuilders. I’ve won the past two years but highly doubt I can pull off a 3rd straight with my current RB room. We keep only 10 players year over year, use a two round rookie draft, then supplement with a FAAB auction to fill out rosters. I leveraged my future to get this team two years ago, worth it with the ‘ships, but I have ZERO picks in ‘24 or ‘25!

Should I be trying to sell CMC and Kelce, or others and should I go for picks or players? I think I got screwed with the KA trade, not sure a rookie QB can support two stud WRs, but KA is likely better than DJM in the near term, right?

I need strategy advice, I’m close to being able to run it back, but if I try and fail my old players will completely fall off the cliff and I won’t have a pick again until ‘26!

I’d hold for now. For a couple reasons.

1. You’re back to back champion. 3 peat would be sweet and you do have talent. Though I agree your odds may not be great given the depth.

2. You likely wont get very good value right now in the heart of rookie season.

I’d wait until just before the season to shop some of these guys if you decide to go that route.

It doesn’t hurt to shop now, but I bet you get better offers in a few months.

Thanks for the response. I’ve always thought there’s never a better time to trade someone than when they are the best they’ll get. I’ve never done it quite like that, but makes me wonder if I should sell CMC. It’s hard to imagine him repeating last year again, but if he does I’d cry if I sold him lol

Same-ish with Kelce, but maybe just ride him till he dies in the vine. I hope Likely will usurp Mark Andrews some day, but can’t count on that this year, if ever, and it might be injury dependent.

What’s really got me twisted is what do I do with my WRs?

Having both KA and DJM sounds like a pitfall and I don’t know if this is the best or worst time to sell Diggs lol

If you could get a top 5 R1 and a yet to reach their potential RB (Najee or Saquon) for CMC, would you?

What do you think Diggs or KA is worth?

I don't think KA has any trade value of merit, so he would be retiring on my roster. With no rookie picks for two years, I think this is the year to sell CMAC and Kelce. This team will get very old, very quick. This is your chance to get ahead of it and still great good value

There’s a decent chance that Caleb will lean on KA’s experience in the beginning making him look more valuable than DJM, if so, that’s probably the only chance left to sell ever.

I see what you’re saying, you’re talking about a full rebuild, sell CMC for picks and rookies, maybe second year players and maybe other positions.

What about a middle ground where I’m just trying to roll the option and get a year or two/three younger but stay in contention? Turn my one RB into two RBs (2 players or a player and a pick)?

I’m a Steelers homer so I’m afraid I’m talking myself into Najee. In my league’s scoring, last year Najee had six games between 10-15 points, two games over 20 points, and eight games under 10 points. That’s just an *okay* season and that was his best season yet, but I think he could be King Henry lite this upcoming season.

What adds to CMC for Najee trade need made to make it even? Is CMC for Najee + r1 fair for either side? That owner has Saquon, Najee, Gibbs, and Brian Robinson Jr. He also has the #1 overall pick, but likely will be hard to get that from him. He also has another pick or two in the back half of the first round, somewhere between p5 and p10.

I hate how correct you are I was offered Najee and the r1p5 for CMC which he thinks could get me Odunze, but I think he’s crazy or Williams, but I wild never take a QB that early I don’t think. I think that’s more like Thomas, Worthy, Brooks, or Bowers at that pick. Either way, I don’t see any of them being worth CMC. Maybe I should tell him to throw Saquon in too… I mean I would have to trade CMC for Saquon and Najee, right? But he’d never do that… I don’t think.
